Damn can't believe that one with Clemson got away. Hopefully nobody big is transferring and you make a run next year. Cut down on the bad Cheese and this team is legit.
We threw the ball way too damn much last year. A more balanced attack should make our offense execute more succinctly.

Glenn Schumann tapped as Alabama head coach as Swinney makes move to Tulane
Off the heels of Boise State's perfect record being attained after winning the National Championship over Clemson by a score a 42-38, we have seen the coaching carousel spin around yet again, seeing some big names make some big moves.

After a disappointing season for the Alabama Crimson Tide, as they fell out of College Football Playoff contention by the midway point of the season, they have decided to move on from former Clemson boss Dabo Swinney. This continues the search for their return to greatness since legendary head coach Nick Saban retired years ago. Swinney finishes with a record of 24-14 during his tenure with the Tide.

Replacing Swinney will be Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann, who has led the Bulldogs to having one of the most ferocious defenses in the past four seasons when he was promoted internally after an eight year stint as the team's interior linebackers coach.

Swinney won't be on the unemployment line for long, it turns out, as he makes his way back to the ACC as the newest boss for the Tulane Green Wave, signing on for a four-year contract that will make him the second-highest paid coach in the conference behind Clemson's Lane Kiffin.

In non-SEC coaching news, Mike Norvell has made the move from Houston to Baylor and Dan Mullen has been hired by West Virginia after Rich Rodriguez announced his retirement.

Mustangs hoping promising incoming rookie class can circumvent loss to graduation, NFL
By Veronica Downs | SMU Daily

After making a surprise trip to the final four of the College Football Playoffs, SMU was at an impasse. Juniors Thomas McCariens and Kevin Lockridge - two impact players - could have hopped into the NFL Draft and done some real damage. McCariens, after breaking the NCAA's single-season record for sacks with 25.5, could have easily taken his astronomical stock and been a first round pick.

They decided to run it back.

"We were way too close to the National title to quit now, I'm back." McCariens wrote in an Instagram post in one of the final days before having to declare his eligibility as an underclassmen to the NFL Draft. He returns along with MIKE linebacker Kevin Lockridge to form one of the most fearsome linebacker trio along with SAM backer Ben Stutz.

Offensive tackle Dramodd Odoms, wide receivers J.J. Harrell and Jeremiah McClellan, and cornerback Marcellus Barnes Jr. are the four seniors that were selected in the NFL Draft, with Odoms (Atlanta Falcons) and Harrell (Denver Broncos) both going in the fourth round. Barnes Jr. (Seattle Seahawks) and McClellan (New York Jets) were Day 3 picks. Cornerback William Nettles and free safety Jaylen Moses were both UDFA pickups, with Nettles heading to the Indianapolis Colts and the reigning Thorpe Trophy winner Moses signing on with the New England Patriots.

The team only suffered one transfer portal entree, with backup quarterback Skyler Williams taking his final year of eligibility to the market.

"I can't fault him in deciding to take his career in his own hands," said head coach Nico Augustine. "He gave us a lot of moments and a stud of quarterback in our room. We were honored to have him and will miss him dearly."
