Dolphins overhaul OL with three FA signings
Team makes protecting Watson a top priority

The Dolphins offensive line will look a lot different in 2021 with the team signing Cam Robinson, Joe Thuney and Mike Pouncey over the past few days.

PFF ranked the 2020 Dolphins offensive line 28th out of 32, despite their investment in the 2020 draft.

"We knew it was a priority last year and we saw some things we liked out of those guys we got then." GM Chris Grier explained. "We hope to develop those young guys further but we need to protect Deshaun and make room for our talented backs as well."

Pouncey should slide right in to replace the departed Karras and be an improvement. Pouncey, who played for the Dolphins from 2011-2017, is coming off a season in which he played only five games due to injury but says he is "100%, maybe better" and is looking forward to coming home.

Thuney earned PFF's sixth highest grade at left guard last season and should be a huge addition in both the running and passing game for Miami. He played five season in New England, starting all 80 games there.

Robinson has had a tough time in Jacksonville during his four seasons there but the front office and coaching staff feel they can help him jump start his career.

The remaining two positions on the line likely belong to Ereck Flowers, who played reasonable well at left guard last season, and 2020 second round pick Robert Hunt. Hunt did provide some optimism late in the year at right tackle. His 76.4 PFF grade from Week 12 through the end of the season ranked fifth out of 37 qualifying right tackles.

Dolphins continue free agency splurge, sign Bowser
Former Ravens pass rusher signs three year deal
By djp73 | @djp73

Image

In four years with the Ravens Tyus Bowser played in 63 games but started only two. He had his best year in 2020, recording 34 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions. He recorded five sacks in 2019

Bowser likely fits in as a situational pass rusher for Miami but could certainly earn an expanded role in the defense, especially given their use of multiple formations.

Gallman latest to join Miami's "super team"
RB played with Watson at Clemson
By djp73 | @djp73

Wayne Gallman Jr, who played with Dolphins QB Deshaun Watson at Clemson, is the latest to join what he called a "super team" in Miami. Gallman played 53 games over four season with the Giants. His best season cam last year when he saw an expanded role after the injury to Saquan Barkley. Gallman ran for 682 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Gallman stated that he was very excited to rejoin former Clemson teammate Deshaun Watson. The two played together from 2014-2016 for the Tigers, winning a national championship in their final game together. Watson welcomed him to the team on Twitter and said he hoped they could get more trophies together.

Gallman joins a seemingly crowded backfield with Le'Veon Bell signing last week and 2020 yardage leader Myles Gaskin as well as Patrick Laird still in the RB room.
