Late pick six not enough as Pats sweep Jets to take control of AFC East
It's never a good sign when your defense and special teams outscores your offense, not when your offense has just three points to their name.

Marcus Maye's pick six in the fourth quarter certainly made things interesting but it was New England's game the entire day as they beat the New York Jets 16-11 to sweep them for the seventh straight season to sit atop the AFC East.

Maye's pick six made it a two-point game after the Jets were unable to convert on the two point conversion with Melvin Gordon III being stuffed in the backfield. New England then went three-and-out as their rushing game failed to get it going like last week with Damien Harris held to 58 yards rushing.

The Jets were unable to capitalize, going three-and-out and then seven-and-out on back to back possessions as New England tried to bleed the clock out on the other side, up two point with 2:48 left in the game.

A fifteen-yard completion to Hunter Henry on 3rd and 6 kept the Patriots offense on the field and put them deep into the Jets territory, getting as close as the thirteen-yard line before Harris was stopped in the backfield to bring up fourth down. New England, with 22 seconds left in the game, opted to go for it and completed the fifteen-yard touchdown pass to Jonnu Smith but a penalty on Shaq Mason took the touchdown off the board and forced them to settle for a field goal.

Zach Wilson had completions of 15 and 34 yards on the ensuing possession but with no timeouts left, the game ended as Chris Godwin was tackled inbounds following his 34-yard grab.

Bro is just about cooked... I like Jalen, but yes Gilmore was elite. Looking to the future though I guess.

Patriots defense hold off late Bengals comeback effort to bury Cincy's playoff hopes
Cincinnati could not have asked for a better start as Jamarr Chase got behind the Patriots defense for a 34-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.

The Bengals wouldn't reach the endzone again until there was five minutes left in the fourth quarter, boding well for New England's chance to come away with the victory and that they did, beating Cincinnati 23-17.

New England led for most of the game after trailing 7-0 thanks to a seventeen point second quarter. They had a chance to extend that lead in the fourth quarter when Mac Jones found Charleston Rambo for a gain of 26 on 3rd and 13 to put the ball on the Cincinnati 35-yard line but three plays later, Jones would be intercepted by Anthony Brown in the endzone.

On the ensuing drive, Joe Burrow led a twelve play scoring drive that ended with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Billy Kemp IV on third and goal.

Both teams exchanged three and outs before New England went on a eight play drive to bleed out the rest of the clock.

Two key starters land on injury report
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- — New England Patriots edge rusher Matthew Judon and center David Andrews are expected to miss the next several weeks with injuries that they both suffered in the win over Cincinnati.

Judon appeared on the injury report with an elbow injury while Andrews' injury designation was his thumb.

Both players will miss this week's Thanksgiving matchup against the Detroit Lions and likely next week's primetime affair with the Buffalo Bills. With New England's bye coming late this season in week fourteen, it might give both players the opportunity to be back into the lineup against Pittsburgh in week fifteen.

Despite missing three games this season already, Judon is tied for third on the team with nine sacks. Replacing Judon will likely be a combination of Josh Uche (2.5 sacks) and Chase Winovich (4.0 sacks) and Kyle Van Noy (0.5 sack).
