Harris, defense leads Patriots to 27-10 win over Browns
The exodus of Odell Beckham Jr. led to the Cleveland Browns beating the second-place Cincinnati Bengals last weekend and led to many buy into the notion that it'd be addition by subtraction. The New England Patriots put a hold to that narrative.

Damien Harris rushed for 164 yards, outperforming his former SEC counterpart in the Patriots 27-10 win over Cleveland on Saturday.

Cleveland had jumped out to a 10-0 lead following a fumble by Hunter Henry that gave Cleveland a short field before Nick Chubb rushed it in from seven yards out to extend their lead. It'd be their last points of the night due to three missed kicks from kicker Don Bailey.

Henry amended that fumble with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Mac Jones to tie the game and Nick Folk was able to take the lead just before halftime on a his second field goal of the game. Henry found the endzone once more in the third quarter to extend the Patriots lead.

Harris' one-yard run in the fourth quarter sealed the victory.

Editor's Note
Got a PS5 over the weekend and It doesn't seem that I can transfer the PS4 version of the game's saved data to the PS5 so instead, I'm just going to keep the Browns game recap as is even though the stats are not going to be identical and will pick it back up with the Falcons game. Got it? Let's ride.

Pats sign IDL Gerald Willis III following Wise injury
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- — New England Patriots defensive end Deatrich Wise has been ruled out for Thursday's primetime matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Wise, 27, showed up on this week's injury designation sheet with a finger injury that was later reported to be a broken finger that he suffered in practice. Wise is expected to have surgery on his broken finger and will miss the Falcons game due to it being a short week.

The Patriots are already thin on the defensive line with Henry Anderson and Chase Winovich already being out with injuries. The team signed free agent Gerald Willis III to their active roster and relegated left tackle Yodny Cajuste to their practice squad.

Falcons hold off comeback effort from the Patriots
It wasn't quiet the Super Bowl but as the Mac Jones-led New England Patriots were roaring back from a 30-3 deficit, Atlanta Falcons couldn't help but feel uneasy.

Jones' scramble for a touchdown with 52 seconds left in the game gave New England its first and only lead of the game but it was short lived as Matt Ryan completed a 32-yard pass to help setup Younghoe Koo's game winning field goal to beat the Patriots 33-31.

The game started as terrible as it could for New England with a Kyle Pitts touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, two interceptions from Jones and a fumble from Hunter Henry that led to 23 first half points. Atlanta then opened the second half with a 67-yard touchdown on their first series of the second half to jump out to their twenty seven point lead.

Jones finished the game with 323 yards passing but took 50 pass attempts to do, completing just 24 of his passes. Matt Ryan has one of his better days this season, throwing for 440 yards and two touchdowns, completing 73 percent of his passes.

Atlanta's defense limited New England's two tight ends -- Henry and Jonnu Smith -- to just three catches between them.
