I started in week eight so I was way behind on scouting. Bigby was the only player I had scouted beyond 60% so I decided if he was there I would take him and if not I'd trade out of the first. He was there so I pulled the trigger. Not really a steal but solid value at that spot.

Titans add powerful interior defensive linesman Rivers at end of third round

Tennessee came into the draft a little thin on the interior defensive line and did something to remedy that with their second pick of the draft which came at number 27 in the third round. Seantavius Rivers is listed at 303 pounds and probably played heavier than that. A traditional nose tackle with great strength Rivers is hard to move in the run game and surprisingly decent in pass rust situations. The pick will give the Titans some depth and also some flexibility behind Teair Tartt.

Titans draft tight end Winters out of Texas late in 4th round

Reggie Winters is a bit of a project and a bit of a nomad. A three star out of high school Winters committed to Oklahoma. He didn't see the field as a freshman and had a falling out with the coaching staff as well as some family issues that led to him leaving Oklahoma the winter after his first season. After putting up good numbers in one season at Blinn Community College in 2019 he transferred to Texas. He sat out 2020 due to Covid. In 2021 he had a solid season on a struggling Longhorns team. A bit of a tweener at 6'2" and 250 pounds Winters has decent speed and solid hands but he struggles with blocking.

Titans use 5th round pick for Nebraska OT Lawrence

Lawrence is a big, strong tackle who gets a lot of push in the run game but needs to improve in pass blocking to stay outside. If the pass blocking skills don't come along he could turn into a solid guard.

Titans trade for Giants QB Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones wanted out of New York after the Giants hit the reset button on the coaching staff and replaced him as the starter with Russell Wilson. Jones indicated that he would have been on board with backing up Wilson for a bit if things had been handled differently.

Tennessee in need of a solid backup for Ryan Tannehill swooped in and traded for the former Duke QB.

"We think Daniel is a great fit. We get a great option behind Ryan and Daniel will get a chance to learn behind someone who has a pretty similar skillset and also has been in a similar situation where a team had kind of pulled the rug out from under him and he had a chance to prove himself somewhere else." Titans GM John Robinson said after the trade was announced.

Tennessee has been in talks with Tyrod Taylor as well and Robinson said the team was still interested in bringing him in and that there have been talks with Tannehill, Taylor and Jones on what the QB group would look like going forward if they do still add Taylor.
