Bowl Bound: #24 Cardinals will meet Penn State in Duke's Mayo Bowl
Courier-Journal

Louisville, KY – It was revealed that the Louisville Cardinals (8-4 (6-3)) will meet the Penn State Nittany Lions (6-6 (5-4)) in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Duke's Mayo Bowl.

Penn State showcases a high-tempo option offense led by redshirt Senior quarterback Sean Clifford and junior halfback Noah Cain.

The Nittany Lions continued to struggle to return to Big Ten dominance this season. Penn State's strongest win of the season was a Week 9 upset of then-#13 Ohio State in Columbus. In the 17-10 upset, Noah Cain ran for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Nittany Lions went on to win their following games against Rutgers and Minnesota, before finishing the season on a 3 game skid against Purdue, Maryland, and Michigan State.

Louisville will come into the game off an upset win against N.C. State, where Sophomore Quarterback Evan Conley excelled. While the game will be Quarterback Malik Cunningham's final game of eligibility, it is unclear who will be at the helm after Cunningham's long stint out dealing with shoulder issues.

Early Signing Period Commitments Lay Foundations for Satterfield's Local Pipeline
Courier-Journal

Louisville, KY -- Bowl Season is upon us in College Football, and with that marks the Early Signing Period in which Louisville secured nine incoming freshmen for the upcoming 2022 season.

Satterfield didn't have to travel far to get any of these nine players, with five of them hailing from the Kentucky Commonwealth and the remaining four coming in from border-start Indiana. It's clear that Coach Satterfield has a commitment to keeping local talent in Louisville.

As the recruiting seasons races to it's end, Satterfield and his coaching staff still have a lot of targets that they hope to bag before the signing period ends, ironically, none of which currently reside in Kentucky or Indiana.

Satterfield hopes to finish the season with 18 incoming freshmen.
