Louisville Cardinals Recruiting Update #1
Courier-Journal

Louisville, KY – This year's recruiting class features plenty of local talent that Satterfield has eyed as future Cardinals. The top incoming receiver and Louisville's #1 recruiting target heading into this season grew up in Louisville. Unfortunately for Scott Satterfield, Rashaun Harris will be taking his talents to Ohio State. Despite growing up a just minutes from Cardinal Stadium, Rashaun's favorite team was the Ohio State Buckeyes. Despite losing out on Kentucky's #1 prospect, Louisville has got a fresh wave of Kentuckians headed to campus for the 2022 season.

Two Louisville natives, (#233, #36 HB) 4-star Brent Dunlap and (#344, #48 HB) 3-star Trenton Richard were the first to commit to the Louisville Cardinals for this upcoming season. Louisville has also received a commitment from (#1197, #50 SS) 3-star Mark Sanders, another Kentucky native. The Cardinals will continue to put forth their best effort to bring as much homegrown talent into the locker room as possible, while recruiting other recruits from across Kentucky such as (#1014, #90 OLB) 3-star Barrett Odom, (#1287, #74 T) 3-star Mike Gipson, and (#1649, #76 MLB) 2-star Trevor Stokes.

Outside of Kentucky, Satterfield hasn't roamed too far to find talent. Louisvile has received verbal commitments from two Indiana natives, (#247, #43 WR) 4-star Teddy Lawrence and (#572, #99 WR) 3-star Brendan Broussard. Satterfield is establishing a good recruiting foundation in Indiana. As Satterfield proves himself capable of the Louisville job and he gains more recognition, it will be interesting to see what kind of recruiting developments we will see as the season progresses.

Definitely going to have some fun through the next few games. Unranked Syracuse is next and they hold higher ratings than Pittsburgh. Hopefully, they don't spoil the fun.
