Georgia Tech Looks To Get Right In Conference-Play Kickoff

THE FLATS –– To say that Georgia Tech Football is off to a rough start would be an understatement.

After back-to-back defeats to No.1 Georgia and underdog Troy, the Yellow Jackets are looking to bounce back with a win over Duke at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday in the team's first ACC matchup.

Starting quarterback Jeff Sims hasn't showed the poise that the coaching staff was hoping to see thus far. And after an early exit due to a non-throwing shoulder injury, the coaches got a look at redshirt sophomore Jordan Yates. Though Yates impressed the staff, it looks as if Sims will get the nod this week.

"We're going to stick with Jeff to get the start this week and see how it goes," said head coach mvp. "We have a bye next week, so if we want to re-evaluate the starting QB spot, we can do it then."
