Texans Look Ahead To Fresh Start With Week 1 Kick Off Approaching
Texans Insider Report -- -- Posted By mvp

It was an ugly preseason for this year's Houston Texans squad, but thankfully, winning games doesn't really matter.

The team had some kinks to work out and position battles to settle, and for now, they've done just that.

"We were focused on seeing who came in to work every day and who was able to get a hold of the playbook, execute their assignments, and make some plays," said head coach Lovie Smith.

He continued, "unfortunately injuries are a part of this game, so we don't want to rush those guys back, but we know who we're going with week one for now – but it's something we'll monitor week to week and make changes in the depth chart as necessary."

Houston opens up the season at home against the division rival Indianapolis Colts, and will also end the season against them.

2022 Team Schedule
