Raiders to be without several key players following big win over Jaguars on Sunday
The Raiders injury report on Wednesday was a lengthy one with defensive end Tyree Wilson, offensive tackle Joe Alt and tight end Brian McBride already ruled out for this week's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Wilson tore his labrum against the Jaguars according to head coach David Shaw while Alt dislocated his elbow and McBride fractured his foot early in the game. All three players are expected to be out for about a month according to Shaw who added that the team will take a 'week by week approach' with all of the injuries.

The Raiders are already without running back Laviska Shenault Jr. who Shaw says is back working out but has not practiced with the team since fracturing his foot in the season opener against Kansas City.

The team promoted practice squad offensive tackle Will Wilbur and free agent defensive end Casey Toohill to the active roster and demoted quarterback Malik Cunningham and linebacker Amari Burney to the practice squad. Rookie center Bryan Boren was released from the practice squad.

Wilbur spent training camp with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent earlier this summer while Toohill was with Shaw during his college years at Stanford. The former seventh round pick last played in 2023 with the Washington Commanders and had 46 tackles and two sacks from 2021 through 2022 where he appeared in 32 games in those two seasons before being on the team's practice squad for the past two seasons.

‣ NFL 2025 Regular Season, Week 3 - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
(1-1) Las Vegas Raiders at Green Bay Packers (1-1)

LV | 14 | 17 | 14 | 14 | 59
GB | 0 | 3 | 7 | 0 | 10

Packers suffer worst home loss in franchise history with 59-10 defeat to Raiders
The Raiders walked into Green Bay and on their very first drive put together a seventeen-play drive that took nearly nine minutes and was punctuated with a 3rd-and-8 conversion to Michael Mayer that went for a touchdown. Green Bay would respond with a three-and-out that led into another long, ten play drive that culminated with Justin Fields' second touchdown pass of the quarter.

Fields avenged his six losses to the Packers in his first three seasons as a Chicago Bear with a historic 59-10 beating of Green Bay, handing the proud franchise their worst home loss in franchise history and their worst loss since 1980.

Almost everything went right for Las Vegas with Fields throwing five touchdowns and completing 66 percent of his passes for 285 yards. He also rushed for 56 yards, adding to the Raiders running game that was once again led by Miyan Williams (138 rushing yards) who was aided by Lenny Evans (80) and Zamir White (55) as the Raiders rushed for 329 yards on the ground,

It was far from a track meet as Desmond Ridder and the Packers offense failed to get much going despite the Raiders turning the ball over twice in their own territory. The Packers converted just 23 percent of their third downs compared to the Raiders impressive 57 percent clip. Ridder finished with 51 pass attempts but only threw for 216 yards and was twice intercepted with Decorian Patterson and Kenneth Murray being on the receiving end.

Green Bay's offensive line had no answers for Tyleik Williams who had three sacks while rookie linebacker Dasan McCullough joined in on the sack party for his first career sack which drove the Packers out of field goal range late in the game.

Houston seems to have finally found their stride after five consecutive bottom-three finishes
Since their Divisional Playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, the Houston Texans have failed to win more than five games in each of the past five seasons, twice finishing with the worst record in the NFL in the last two years.

The Texans are already approaching that win mark with their third win of the season, beating the Tennessee Titans 20-19 to remain undefeated. C.J. Stroud threw two touchdown passes to Michael Thomas while free agent signing Haason Reddick had three tackles for loss and a sack.

On the season, Stroud is averaging a career high 250.7 yards per game, a career high 75 percent completion percentage and is on pace to throw for 39 touchdowns to just six interceptions, which would be the best TD:INT ratio of his career by a wide margin.

‣ NFL 2025 Regular Season, Week 4 - Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada
(3-0) Houston Texans at Las Vegas Raiders (2-1)

HOU | 0 | 3 | 0 | 7 | 10
LV | 6 | 10 | 15 | 7 | 38

Raiders put on an impressive, all-around performance against the Texans
Even with Raiders quarterback Justin Fields not attempting a single pass beyond ten air yards in the first half of the game and finishing the game with a pedestrian performance that included two interceptions, the Raiders kept on clicking against Houston, beating the previously unbeaten Texans in a 38-10 rout for their first home win of the season.

Both Raiders head coach David Shaw and offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton put the onus on the game planning and play calling for Fields' lack of success on the heels of a six-touchdown performance against Green Bay.

"We didn't put him in the best situations to success," Hamilton said of his play calling after the game, "Houston did a good job of taking away some of those deep looks but overall, there's a lot we can do better."

Fields still finished with 232 passing yards and three touchdowns, rushing for 29 yards to help the Raiders for 223 yards on the ground to begin the season with now four straight games over the 200-yard mark. They were once again led by Miyan Williams who had over 50 yards rushing in the first drive alone and finished the game with 130 yards and seventeen carries.

In contract, Dameon Pierce was held to 0.6 yards per carry on fourteen carries and was stripped by rookie Travis Hunter, who the Texans could have drafted with the #1 overall pick before trading it to the Raiders. The Texans got defensive tackle Jaheim Oatis, offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr, tight end R.J. Maryland and cornerback Jaheim Singletary in those exchange of picks with all but Singletary playing on Sunday. Banks struggled against Maxx Crosby as expected with Crosby finishing the day with two sacks. Oatis failed to make much of an impact, playing 70 snaps but failing to record a single stat or pressure. Maryland did score the Texans only touchdown and caught four passes for 23 yards.

C.J. Stroud, who backed up Fields at Ohio State, had a tough day with two interceptions, just 5.2 yards per attempt and was sacked five times.

Former Houston Texan DeAndre Hopkins got into the endzone and led the Raiders with six receptions for 54 yards. Denzel Perryman, who played for the Texans for two seasons, had six tackles and two tackles for loss in his most impactful game of the season.

Not the best day for Fields but still dominated the whole game.
