Jared Goff Emerges as MVP Favorite in First Year with Atlanta Falcons
In a stunning turn of events, Jared Goff, the former Detroit Lions quarterback, has taken the NFL by storm in his debut season with the Atlanta Falcons. After signing with the Falcons in free agency, Goff has orchestrated a remarkable resurgence for the team, propelling them to the top of the NFC standings.

Goff’s transition to the Falcons has been nothing short of remarkable. His precision passing, football IQ, and leadership have revitalized the Falcons’ offense. In the past five games, Goff has thrown 25 touchdowns while maintaining an impressive five interceptions. His ability to read defenses and make split-second decisions has left opponents scrambling to keep up.

As we approach the midway point of the season, Goff’s name is now firmly entrenched in the MVP conversation. His impact on the Falcons cannot be overstated. The team’s five-game winning streak is a testament to his ability to elevate those around him. Whether it’s connecting with breakout receiver Devin Duvernay or finding running back Bijan Robinson out of the backfield, Goff has become the heartbeat of the Falcons’ offense.

Notre Dame CB Jameon Sandridge drawing comparisons to Revis Island
In the hallowed halls of Notre Dame, a new defensive luminary has emerged. Jameon Sandridge, the junior cornerback for the Fighting Irish, is making waves with his exceptional play this season. His ability to lock down receivers on one side of the field has drawn comparisons to legendary cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Sandridge’s impact is felt far beyond the stat sheet. His coverage skills are nothing short of remarkable. Opposing quarterbacks find themselves hesitant to throw in his direction, knowing that their chances of success are slim. Receivers who dare to challenge him are met with tight coverage, swift reactions, and an uncanny ability to disrupt passing lanes.

Darrelle Revis, a name synonymous with shutdown cornerbacks, set the gold standard for excellence in coverage during his NFL career. Sandridge’s style of play evokes memories of Revis Island—a place where wide receivers go to disappear. Like Revis, Sandridge combines intelligence, anticipation, and physicality to dominate his opponents at six-foot-two.

‣ NFL 2025 Regular Season, Week 9 - Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada
(4-4) Philadelphia Eagles at Las Vegas Raiders (6-2)

PHI | 7 | 7 | 7 | 0 | 21
LV | 7 | 10 | 0 | 7 | 24

Las Vegas Raiders Edge Philadelphia Eagles in Thrilling 24-21 Victory
In a nail-biting clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Las Vegas Raiders, it was the silver and black that emerged victorious, securing a hard-fought win with a final score of 24-21. The game had fans on the edge of their seats, with momentum swings and clutch plays defining the contest.

Raiders quarterback Justin Fields showcased his dual-threat abilities, amassing 242 passing yards and tossing two touchdown passes. But it was his legs that made the difference. On a critical 4th-and-1 situation, he took matters into his own hands, breaking free for a 23-yard run that kept the Raiders’ drive alive. And then, with precision, he found wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown. The Raiders now led 24-21 with 13 minutes left in the game.

The Eagles’ defense came alive in the second half, forcing a total of three turnovers. However, their inability to capitalize fully on these takeaways haunted them. Despite the turnovers, they managed to convert only seven points off those opportunities with Swift scoring the go-ahead touchdown off a Hopkins' fumble in the third quarter.

Following Hopkins' second touchdown of the game, the Raiders defense would hunker down, allowing just one first down for the rest of the game while Jalen Hurts was sacked three times in the fourth quarter as the Raiders hung on to their win over a now sub .500 Eagles team.

Kyler Murray Suffers Devastating Ankle Injury, Season Cut Short
The Arizona Cardinals’ star quarterback, Kyler Murray, faced a heartbreaking setback during their recent clash against the Seattle Seahawks. In a fateful moment, Murray suffered a severe ankle injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

The Cardinals have now plummeted to the bottom of the NFC West with five consecutive losses. and adding to the team’s woes is the financial burden. Murray’s contract looms large—a staggering $55.6 million due next year. With his injury, questions arise about his long-term viability. Will the Cardinals continue to invest in a quarterback who may face lingering effects from this season-ending injury?

Before his untimely exit, Murray’s performance had been a mixed bag. He threw for 13 touchdowns but also struggled with eight interceptions. His average passing yards per game—188.2—is a career low.

it was my first game back with the house rules, the INT was a really bad done where I just got fooled by the defense so not too upset at the performance overall

Getting old letting the defense fool. Back in the day that wouldn't happen and you would need BIG BOY sliders.
