Cleveland proves to be an unlikely lone survivor as last undefeated team
With Indianapolis, Baltimore and Houston losing this past weekend, there is one remaining undefeated team and it's not one that many picked to even make the playoffs in the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns finished last season with a 4-13 record and have already matched last season's win total with a top five scoring defense and a top ten scoring offense despite not even having a first round pick in this year's draft which had been traded for quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Under new head coach Mike Kafka, Watson is averaging 231.5 yards per game this season with a 99.0 passer rating which are all the highest of his career since joining the Browns in 2022. The Browns offense has been aided by the addition of rookie Evan Stewart who leads the team with eighteen receptions.

The story of their 4-0 start, however, has been Myles Garrett with an astounding eleven sacks through the first four games of the season which is doubled Denver's Zach Allen's five sacks on the year, who is second in the league. No one else in the NFL has more than 3.5.

‣ NFL 2025 Regular Season, Week 5 - MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
(3-1) Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants (1-3)

Giants offensive line swarmed by Raiders in 38-27 loss
Veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins has long been one of the best and most consistent receivers throughout his tenured career as a member of the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals and the Tennessee Titans. Hopkins accomplished a great feat on Sunday, catching the 1,000th pass of his career to join an elite company of pass catchers. But it was his blocking that drew praise from his teammates and the Raiders coaching staff.

"[Hopkins] sets the standard for everyone in that [wide receiver] room," Raiders head coach David Shaw said after the game, "He's the leader of that group and one of our leaders on offense and the entire team, we're glad to have him."

Hopkins' blocking of two New York Giants defenders on one play sprung Tory Horton free for a 43-yard touchdown in the third quarter which helped the Raiders pull away with the 38-27 win.

The Giants led for much of the first half as the Raiders offense struggled to get much prior to a 74-yard catch and run by Horton in the second quarter. The Giants would kick a field goal on the ensuing possession to tie the game and after the Raiders failed to get a two-minute drill going due to a sack and a botched screen pass, Adoree' Jackson returned a punt for 74 yards with 59 seconds remaining to take the lead.

It would prove to leave too much time on the clock as Justin Fields found Mario Williams for the 35-yard pick up to kick start the drive and then had scrambles of sixteen and twelve yards to get the ball on the Giants 12-yard line where he would hook up with Horton for his second of three touchdowns.

Carson Beck would leave the game with an injury in the fourth quarter as he was ravaged by the Raiders defensive front which sacked him seven times. It was Beck's first career start as he replaced starter Daniel Jones following the Giants 1-3 start to the season. Saquon Barkley also left the game with an injury after picking up 30 rushing yards and scoring a receiving touchdown.

Daniel Jones played well in relief, mostly in garbage time as he collected 156 yards passing, converting two fourth downs and throwing a late touchdown to make the score more respectable.

Mac Jones, New England reeling after 0-5 start
Fresh off winning a national championship in his only season as a starter at Alabama, Mac Jones strolled into Foxborough and led the New England Patriots to the playoffs in his rookie season. Since then, it's been all downhill for the former first round pick and the Patriots who are the last winless team in the NFL following their 28-9 loss to AFC East rival Miami.

Jones is on pace to have his worst career year with similar numbers to his 2022 season under Matt Patricia and Joe Judge as the bizarro offensive coordinator/quarterback's coach duo. Jones' 86.8 passer rating is the fifth worst in the NFL among players with all 100 pass attempts and his 7:6 touchdown-to-interception ratio is the second worst in the NFL.

The Patriots also feature a bottom-half rushing attack, the third worst scoring offense, a bottom five rushing defense and the second worst NFL scoring defense.

With the team heading towards another top five pick, we could be witnessing the last days of both Bill Belichick and Jones in New England.

Raiders sign Malcolm Koonce and Jonathan Garvin following injuries to Maxx Crosby, Barron Browning at practice
The Raiders have signed outside linebackers Malcolm Koonce and Jonathan Garvin to their active roster, demoting offensive linemen Perry Etienne and Will Wilbur to the practice squad to free up roster space.

The signings come one day after both outside linebackers Maxx Crosby and Barron Browning appeared on the team's injury report after suffering injuries during Wednesday's practice. Crosby, the team's leader in sacks, suffered a back strain according to Raiders head coach David Shaw while Browning suffered a shoulder injury. Both players are currently carrying a 'doubtful' tag on the injury report and are trending towards missing Sunday's game against Washington.

Koonce played the last four seasons with the Raiders while Garvin spent training camp with the team.

The Raiders do get Tyree Wilson back into the lineup after the missing the last three games with an injury which should provide some assistance in slowing down Caleb Williams and the Commanders top five scoring and passing offense.

Raiders make history in 55-16 blowout of the Commanders
Since 2000, only one NFL team had scored more than 50 points twice in a single season. On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders joined the 2007 New England Patriots, beating the Washington Commanders 55-16.

Ironically, New England beat Washington 52-7 that season on their way to an undefeated regular season and a Super Bowl appearance where they would famously lose to the New York Giants in heartbreaking fashion.

The Raiders jumped out to an early 21-0 lead thanks to a pick-six by Rasul Douglas and two easy touchdown drives from the Raiders. Justin Fields finished with 264 yards passing and four touchdowns while Caleb Williams had a much tougher day, twice being intercepted and completing just 53 percent of his passes.

Trevor Etienne found some success in the running game, averaging 7.8 yards per carry and scored both of Washington's two touchdowns but with the game out of hand by the second quarter, he finished with just fourteen carries. Meanwhile, Las Vegas was able to lean on their running back to the tune of Miyan Williams rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns, Laviska Shenault Jr. added 86 yards while rookie Lenny Evans had 51 rushing yards as well.

Scoring Summary
