No Jonathan Taylor, no problem for Colts as they dominate defending champions
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor leads the NFL in rushing yards per game and with Taylor sidelined with an injury, many expected Carolina to have no problem handling the Colts.
Elijah Mitchell stepped in just fine, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns as the Colts thoroughly beat the Panthers 28-10 to improve to 5-1 on the season.
Outside of a 17-13 loss to Denver on Monday Night Football, Indianapolis has been one of the most impressive teams this season with a 31-28 road win over Kansas City, having already swept divisional rival Jacksonville and now wins over Tennessee and Carolina on the road in the last two weeks.
The Colts fly out to Los Angeles to play the Chargers this week before beginning their four game home stand which will include a highly anticipated game against the Baltimore Ravens and a Thursday Night match up with the Houston Texans in a game that could decide who is in the driver's seat for the divisional race.

Drake Maye lights it up against Las Vegas, throws for 447 yards in win over Raiders
In the last two weeks, Las Vegas' defense had allowed a combined 43 points in blowout wins over the Giants and the Commanders. Denver's Drake Maye had gotten shutout in his first game against Las Vegas last year and got hurt in the team's week sixteen win over the Raiders during his rookie season.
The second-year quarterback got his revenge, throwing for 447 yards and two touchdowns in the Broncos 44-22 statement victory over the Raiders to halt their five game winning streak.
Raiders quarterback Justin Fields' MVP campaign took a major hit on Sunday, throwing two interceptions and posting a quarterback rating of 59.6, completing just 53 percent of his passes as the Raiders dropped a season high seven passes against the Broncos, including three from top receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The Raiders lost receiver Tory Horton early in the game to an injury as well as right tackle Joe Alt.
While the Raiders offense struggled to finish drives -- 3 field goals in the first half -- Denver's had no problems putting points on the board, scoring ten points in the final two minutes of the first half to take a 20-16 lead at halftime.
After a field goal fest in the third quarter, Denver's offense took over in the fourth quarter with Marvin Mims Jr. rushing for two touchdowns and catching one from Drake Maye to help put the game away.

Seller's remorse? Tua-less Dolphins find themselves near bottom of the AFC
The Miami Dolphins made the tough decision this past offseason of pushing away from the table and letting former top five pick Tua Tagovailoa test free agency, eventually signing with the Detroit Lions on a six year, $269 million contract to replace Jared Goff.
The Dolphins instead opted to go with rookie Jalen Milroe, who beat out second-year quarterback Joe Milton for the starting job in training camp. While the book is hardly written on Milroe, Miami now find themselves 2-4 after losing to the Baltimore Ravens in an embarrassing 62-7 defeat. Milroe completed 12 of 28 passes for 113 yards, throwing five interceptions to bring his season total to eight.
Tagovailoa threw five interceptions all of last year with Miami while averaging 209.4 yards per game and 24 touchdowns. With Detroit, Tagovailoa is averaging 224 yards per game with seven touchdowns and just two interceptions atop the NFC North with a 5-2 record, winners of four straight.

Raiders to be without standout offensive tackle Joe Alt for several weeks
The Raiders will once again be without right tackle Joe Alt, one of the team's best players after the second-year player suffered broken ribs in the loss against Denver.
Alt, coming off a very impressive rookie year, missed some time earlier this season with a broken elbow. Thayer Munford Jr. started in his place against Green Bay, Houston and the Giants with very good games against the Packers and Texans.
Alt isn't the only addition to the injury report as tight end Brian McBride is also out for several weeks with broken ribs as well. The Raiders placed McBride on the injury reserved list and signed receiver Demario Davis, who was recently released by New England.
The team also signed weakside linebacker E.J. Speed to their active roster and released defensive end Casey Toohill.

Justin Fields' returns to MVP form after clunker against Denver
Raiders quarterback Justin Fields led back-to-back three and out drives to begin the game and when the offense finally got it going late in the first quarter, he would be stripped at the two-yard line, leading to Dallas' first touchdown drive of the game. On the ensuing possession, Fields would throw a pick-six to DaRon Bland as the Raiders found themselves in a 14-0 hole.
"You rely on your teammates in those moments," Fields said after the game, "They lifted me up and we just took off running."
Fields would throw touchdowns of 30 and 72 yards to Tory Horton and DeAndre Hopkins respectively on the next two drives as the Raiders would go on a 34-3 run to beat the Cowboys 34-17 on Sunday to get back to their winning ways.
Raiders head coach David Shaw called Fields' 72-yard bomb to Hopkins' one of the best throws he's ever seen in person and just a glimpse into what Fields is capable of doing on a weekly basis.
"[Fields] just does thing that are extremely hard but makes it look easy," Shaw added, "He's a special talent and we're lucky to have him."
While Fields bounced back from his slow start, Dallas' Dak Prescott never did, finishing with a season low 106 yards and a red zone interception. It wasn't a big home coming for Davante Adams who played against Las Vegas for the first time since his trade last season, catching three passes for 19 yards.
Tony Pollard did have a big game, rushing for 202 yards on twenty carries but wasn't able to carry the offense by himself.
