This is going to be an interesting experience. We’re going to try and climb the ladder. Starting at one of the lowest spots, then climbing to the highest of ranks. We are going to use the game, Football Coach. A new game that is still in development. However, there are plenty of mods available to make this happen.

The Ladder:
- Fictional coach, head coach at the age of 24.
- We are going to start in small school high school ball in West Virginia. I won’t be allowed to recruit(CPU will sim) or use NIL money.
- We will climb to the highest of ranks in the state. Or maybe we’ll never get there, who knows.
- There are D2 Mods, FCS, and FBS mods available. We will see if we reach those levels.

The first stop is Braxton County High School. The Eagles are located in rural West Virginia, almost in the center portion of the state. Sutton West Virginia is the town. The Eagles are currently ranked 109/112 in the state. The good news is that there is no where to go but up. This will be a total rebuild job and it’s not going to be an easy one at all.

The conference that we are in is the North-Central Conference. Runs right up I-79 in West Virginia. For the most part, it’s a balanced conference. Schools like Roane County and Lewis County should lean toward the top but we can compete with all of these schools. The conference isn’t very prestigious at all, but it’s a good place to start In our career.

Image

The schedule is beneficial for us, as it doesn’t hold any true losses. Our non-conference games are all winnable. Sherman, Ravenswood, and Webster County could give us 3 easy victories. If we can be 5-3 going into the Lincoln game, that would be a successful season.

Year 1 - 1st Half of the Season

Things of Note:
- Well, I'll take a 3-3 start. Our goal was to win 2 games this year from the AD and we have already beat that.
- We lost one to Ravenswood that we needed to win, we had 500 yards of offense but 6 total turnovers and gave up 8 sacks. Still lost by 4.
- The BuchUp game was one that we could have pulled out, but we just came up a little short.
- We may not win another game. The win over Clay County was shocker. 3-9 might be year one.

Not gonna lie, had that thought run through my head. What if I go 20 seasons and can't make it out.

It's called Football Coach, it's still in Beta but it's by far the best College Football game on the market right now. It is coach mode only but it's depth is great. NIL and transfer portal is in the game, and it has a large mod community already.
