KCSD GROUP'S STADIUM PROPOSAL

GROUP TO BUY CONTROLLING INTEREST IN CHARGERS, MOVE TEAM BACK TO SAN DIEGO

In a landmark announcement the NFL and a group that calls themselves KCSD (for Keep the Chargers in San Diego) have announced that they have purchased a controlling interest in the team from Dean Spanos and acquired land in Scripps Ranch which they have already begun constructing a stadium on.

"Things would normally never move this quickly." Roger Goodell explained during the press conference. "There was a lot of concern among team owners and the league about the Los Angeles relocation and shared stadium situation. We've been working behind the scenes to find a better solution and this is it. This has been in the works for a few months now and the construction of a beautiful new stadium has already begun. We expect the team to open the 2019 season in their new stadium."

Reaction among players and fans seems to be largely positive and the mayor of San Diego was seen at the press conference sporting a Philip Rivers jersey and a large grin.
