We're better but the conference is really tough. Hoping for 7 or 8 wins. Maybe steal a 9th.Chillcavern wrote: ↑15 Jan 2019, 21:03The Big 10 looks insane, preseason #2 and #4 and two other ranked teams, oofdah
Hopefully you can build on the bowl appearance
Thanks for the post homie.

2014 Depth Chart and Analysis
Offense
Heaps, Cummings, Cozart - Heaps has the skills to be one of the best QBs in the conference this season if he can cut back on the mental errors that led to 20 interceptions last season. Cummings is the primary backup but Cozart's speed is likely to get him on the field.
RB
Bourbon, Miller, Spencer, Golden - Pretty big shoes to fill here. Bourbon and Miller will split carries with Spencer and Golden ready to step in if needed.
FB
Leak/Kelly - The team has true freshmen Leak and Kelly both listed as the starters at fullback. Leak is more of a receiver and Kelly is the better blocker. We'll see how much they're used.
WR
McCay, Pierson, Turzilli, Roleman, Parmalee, Turner - With four seniors topping the depth chart at WR this is one of the most talented and experienced positions on the roster. Kansas will also be banking on contributions from Shepherd and Juco transfer Corey Holley here.
TE
Mundine, Smiley, Johnson - Mundine was explosive at times last season, they will hope for that again. Smiley and Johnson provide good depth but are far less dynamic players.
OL
LT Lewandowski, LG Martin, C Admire, RG Peters, RT Bloomfield - Lewandowski leads a unit that includes a fifth year senior, three fourth year juniors and a second year freshman. The group is experienced overall and should be solid in both run and pass blocking.

2014 Depth Chart and Analysis
Defense
Reynolds, Combs, Stowers - Those three are the "starters" but expect heavy rotation along the line with Holmes, Lewis, Goodman, Page and McKinney all seeing plenty of playing time. This is a deep group that is looking for a pass rushing threat to emerge. Kansas runs primarily with three down linesmen on defense but did use just two frequently last season and will use four as well.
LB
Simmons, Love, Heeney - Similar to the defensive line Kansas will use a bit of a rotation here with Miles on the field in the base 3-4. Jenkins-Moore and Maura will be called on in certain situations. Heeney is the best player on the defense and he will be used in a number of places. Linebacker play will go a long way in determining the season Kansas has in 2014.
DB
Shepherd, McDonald, Short, Moore, Sendish - This is probably Kansas' most talented unit on defense with corners Shepherd and McDonald projected as mid round draft picks coming up. This is another deep unit. Short and Allen will get plenty of playing time when the team wants multiple corners on the field which will be a lot in the Big 12. Johnson will get a fair amount of snaps as well as the team plans to use Sendish in a linebacker role at times meaning Johnson will be back with Moore. Lot's of talent here and if they can make some splash plays Kansas may be able to steal some wins against more talented teams.

Oh goodness those injuries, but that was a thorough shellacking.
