I think you've got a good class going all.thongs considered here. JuCo's often are better than the star rating - it's the trade for them not having four years, similar to real life I suppose but they're great when you have a team like Kansas!

That four star is huge!
yeah, looking like a pretty solid class. we're trying to build a run first offense so those guys will help a lot if we have to go to a committee approach running the ball.

Recruiting Update

Kansas Adds Five More Recruits Following Win Over WVU

Kansas followed up their win against WVU with a win in recruiting, landing five commitments in the days following the game. The players who have committed were all on hand for the game.

Quarterback Marques Hill is a JUCO transfer from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He is a one star prospect ranked #159 overall for quarterbacks. The dual threat passer is listed at 6'1" and 201 pounds. He initially favored Tulsa but ultimately chose Kansas.

Receiver Brandon Rodriguez is a three star prospect from Blue Springs, Missouri. He is the #205 WR in the nation. Iowa State was a close second but Rodriguez reported that he was swayed by the atmosphere at the win over WVU which he attended. Rodriguez is 5'11" and 178 pounds.

Derrick Wright is the nation's 46th best strong safety and a three star prospect. He measures 6' and 193 pounds. Wright chose Kansas over Kansas State following his visit. Wright hails from The Village, Oklahoma.

Runningback Will Leak comes to Kansas from Melvindale, Michigan and had Kansas high on his board all along, ultimately chosing to sign following his visit. Leak is a three star prospect ranked #66 in the nation. Leak measures 6'2" and 215 pounds. He may transition to fullback if he is able to fill out his frame.

Last but not least is cornerback Cole Callahan from Joplin, Missouri. Callahan is a three star recruit ranked #91 in the nation at cornerback. He measures 6'2" and 168 pounds. He may be asked to work at safety if he can bulk up and improve his tackling.

The five signings bring Kansas total commits to 15 now, all listed below.

Recruiting Update

Kansas Adjusts Recruiting Targets

Kansas recently added five recruits, bringing their total up to 15 thus far. As a result of that they have made some adjustments to their target list going forward.

Firstly, fullback Larry Richardson of Mexico, Missouri announced that he had signed with Northern Illinois, as a result he has been removed from Kansas' list of targets.

Along with that move Kansas has reportedly ended their pursuit of runningback Jon Stratton of Greenwood Village, Colorado. The team has already signed three players at the position and is reportedly close with a fourth. Stratton has Washington State, Colorado, Texas A&M and LSU rounding out his top five. Kansas had not yet offered Stratton a scholarship.
