LaGrone is a beast :baze:
He's really stepped it up the past couple of games. 5 TDs in two weeks is nothing to sneeze at

Idaho can't hold on to lead over Fresno State as Carr and Bulldogs justify their ranking in comeback win

Redshirt Freshman Andrew WIlliams felt like Moses parting the Red Sea when he scored his first collegiate touchdown

Moscow, ID -- Once again, there was a comeback from being down 14-0 in the Kibbie Dome. Unfortunately for Idaho, it was the opposing team mounting the comeback this time, with Fresno State using 35 second half points to cement their victory in Moscow.

Idaho raced out to a 14-0 first quarter and 21-14 halftime lead behind a slow start from Fresno QB Derek Carr and a strong running game. On their first drive, Idaho ran the ball down the throat of the Bulldogs, with the Vandals executing a 14 play, 5 and a half minute long drive that was capped off by Andrew Williams' first collegiate touchdown run. After an interception by the Idaho defense, their second drive consisted of Kristoffer Olugbode taking a handoff, breaking loose and taking in to the house with a 76 yard touchdown run on the first play.

That seemed to wake acclaimed Fresno QB Derek Carr from his slumber, with the future pro shrugging off his interception and guiding his team effortlessly down the field with his teams remaining drives in the half and seemingly the game.
Sensing the shift in momentum, the Idaho offense stuck with the ground game and tried to play keep-away from Carr and co, but to no avail as Carr repeatedly dissected the Vandal defense in the second half. Idaho's offense did not go down without a fight however as the Vandals put up enough points to keep the game within 2 scores, but their turnovers and inability to convert on third down cost them.

Next week will see the Vandals heading to Jonesboro to take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves and the Bulldogs have the week off, with their next game the following week where they'll be hosting UNLV

Fresno State blitzed you after that first quarter. 12-point loss ain't bad though.

 With a couple of different bounces that game is winnable, which is about all I can hope for with this team. I'll have to just take my licks and move on

Idaho lands 2 recruits after game despite loss to Fresno State

Moscow, ID -- Following their loss to the Fresno State Bulldogs, Idaho received some good news as they received verbals commitments from two of the teams recruiting targets. The Vandals got 3 star recruits WR Bobby Hansen and OT Vincent Simpson to commit to the team, filling two of the team's recruiting needs.

The 6'2" Hansen hails from East Renton, Washington and values playing as close to home as possible. While Moscow isn't in Washington, it's on the border and is close enough that his family can see the games. He also valued the chance to see early playing time as the Vandals have several upperclassmen graduating, leaving a hole at receiver in the following years. Hansen runs a 4.52 40 and is known primarily for his crisp route running and relatively proficient leaping ability.

Simpson is from San Bruno, California and picked the Vandals over the Bulldogs despite the Fresno victory, his decision having been done to the two schools. Simpson has yet to say anything on the matter but rumors are suggesting that Simpson picked the Vandals as they showed they had nowhere to go but up and would thus be as place where he could receive ample playing time. Regardless of why he committed, Simpson is a bit of a project players as he only began playing football 2 years ago. His 6'7", 310 frame makes him a hugely raw prospect that should help out the Idaho line in the coming years
