Gotta cut down on those interceptions, they will sneak up on you. I imagine they scored when the second string was in on defense? Either way, nice way to start off the season.

Yeah, I need to work on not throwing interceptions. I don't usually use pass heavy offenses so I have to get used to it again. And Tennessee did score with the second stringers in. They scored, recovered an onside, then scored again

Kenny Robinson out for the season with a broken collarbone
During the second quarter of last week's game against Youngstown State, Kenny Robinson went down after falling from a jump ball situation with a Youngstown receiver. Today, he was diagnosed with a broken collarbone and will miss the rest of the season. The sophomore safety led the team in tackles so far this year and 1 interception against Tennessee.
Defensive coordinator Tony Gibson has announced that sophomore cornerback Derrek Pitts will start at free safety against NC State. Pitts has seen some playing time in the first two games as the team's seventh defensive back in West Virginia's quarters defense, racking up 10 tackles and a pass deflection.
"I hate to see such a great player like Kenny [Robinson] go down, but we have to keep moving. Pitts has impressed me at safety in practice this whole week. Hopefully he can play the same during game time."
The Mountaineers are currently ranked #11 in the nation at 2-0 and will go on the road to play NC State this week.

Tough to lose someone for the season. How do you get the opponent to run so much? I'm constantly leading the nation in rushing defense.
Good luck against NC State.
