I love how Bama and Georgia didn't play in the SEC championship and still got ranked higher than A&M lol

Will Grier wins the Heisman, along with other awards

Getting 1870 votes, West Virginia quarterback Will Grier is the 2018 Heisman Trophy winner. Grier has been sensational this season, leading the nation in passing yards (3761) and passing touchdowns (41) while leading the Mountaineers to a Big 12 Championship and the top seed in this year's College Football Playoffs. The 6'2" 233 pound quarterback is the first ever player from West Virginia to win the Heisman. Prior to Grier, the closest West Virginia has ever gotten in winning a Heisman was in 1989 when Major Harris finished third in the voting. This year also marks the second straight season that a fifth year senior won the Heisman with Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield winning in 2017.

One controversial moment during the Heisman Trophy ceremony was when Texas A&M junior Trayveon Williams was arrested for attempted robbery of the Heisman trophy and for tampering the votes. Williams attempted to bribe media members to vote for him, despite him not being even remotely deserving of the award. When Grier was announced as the winner, the Aggie running back sprinted from back stage and snatched the trophy from the stands. Williams was apprehended thirty minutes later, and Grier was able to accept his award on stage. Despite his dreadful actions, Williams will only lose his AirPods that he received from "financial aid." Trayveon Williams finished third in the Heisman voting with 1079 votes
