Hell yeah, keep building the wins before the SEC part of your schedule comes for your ass.
yeah gonna be a big jump in opponent talent here soon, Tulsa is actually about even with us rating wise so we'll see how we manage in that one.

JAMES ANDERSON JR FIGHTS HIS WAY IN FOR A SCORE OFF A SCREEN PASS
Arkansas QB D’Eriq Robinette threw for 264 yards and a pair of scores and added 123 yards rushing and the Arkansas defense held Tulsa to 187 total yards and seven points as the Razorbacks improved to 3-0 under the lights in Fayetteville last night.

Robinette did more with his arm than he had so far this season and if not for a pair of pics would have had a great game.

Marques Long picked up 79 yards on the ground and the Razorbacks ran for 265 total on 49 runs. They outgained Tulsa 529-187 in the win.

Joey Christodoulou kicked a 35 yard field goal to put Arkansas up 3-0 on their first possession. Tulsa went three and out thanks to a third down sack by Cornelius Davies.

Arkansas extended their lead with a nine play drive that ended with Kelvin Williams Jr fighting his way into the endzone from a yard out, making the score 10-0 Hogs.

After a muff on the kick return pinned Tulsa at their own five yard line the Arkansas defensive line pinned their ears back resulting in a safety when Bart Wilson took down Fred Green in the endzone.

Eight plays later Robinette connected with Bryan Brant for a six yard score. Robinette’s pass attempt on the two point conversion was broken up and Arkansas took an 18-0 lead into halftime.

After a Tulsa punt the Razorbacks put together an 11 pay drive and capped it with James Anderson Jr fighting off a defender to get into the endzone on a screen pass from five yards out.

Tulsa put together their first good drive of the game, getting deep into Arkansas territory before Green missed badly on a fourth down pass attempt inside the Razorbacks five yard line.

Robinette got caught trying to force a pass to Brant and was picked off a few minutes later. Tulsa punted. Arkansas ran out the clock, content with a 25-0 lead at the break.

Tulsa got on the board on their first possession of the second half with Green connecting with junior receiver Joseph Jackson for a 24 yard score.

Robinette was picked off a second time to end the next Arkansas possession. Tulsa punted. Christodoulou hit a 19 yard field goal. Tulsa went four and out. Christodoulou hit an 18 yard field goal. The end.

“Obviously the turnovers are not what we want. We’ll work on those. It’s a good win for us, a good start to the season and we’re happy with it. That being said we’re about to get into the meat of the season here so we’re not going to dwell on these games for long.” Arkansas’ Porter Davis said after the win. Arkansas starts their SEC schedule next week with a road game at Vanderbilt.

QB D’Eriq Robinette was shaken up in the fourth quarter and was replaced by Corn Rivas III, Robinette’s injury was not disclosed and Davis said only that he would be evaluated and that they expected he would be available for the Vandy game.

2018 Arkansas Football Game Preview
Game Four

3-0 | 1-2

Arkansas @ Vanderbilt

September 15th, 2018 6:00PM
Vanderbilt Stadium - Nashville, Tennessee
Last Three Meetings: 9/13/14 Vandy 35-24, 10/29/11 Ark 31-28, 10/30/10 Ark 49-14
Vanderbilt 2017: 4-8(2-7 SEC)
Head Coach: Chris Ash 6-18 @ Vanderbilt, 6-18 Career
Key Players (PFF Grade)
HB Leroy Stephens (87)
FS Eric Webb (82)
LB Jeremy Joseph (77)
Outlook: Arkansas looks to be more talented but it's their conference opener and it's on the road at night so this is another one I could see going either way for the Razorbacks. These toss up games will be ones they really need to win to have a successful season and get into a bowl. Fun matchup between Davis and former assistant Ash.

D’ERIQ ROBINETTE SCORES ONE OF HIS TWO RUSHING TOUCHDOWNS IN A WIN AT VANDY
Arkansas’ defense held Vanderbilt to 160 total yards of offense, kept the Commodores out of the endzone, sacked QB Jeremy Childs six times and picked him off once.

“Them dudes on defense made it pretty easy on us today.” Runningback Jaquez Powell said after the win. “Just protect the ball and it’s all good.”

The Razorbacks offense ran for 240 yards on 40 total carries. They threw for 94 yards on 8 of 15 passing with no turnovers.

“That’s what we want.” Porter Davis said after the game. “Ball control and defense. Keeping the ball away from the talented quarterbacks that are all over the conference. That’s how we’re going to win games.”

Arkansas improved their overall record to 4-0 with the win while Vanderbilt drops to 1-3.

Arkansas jumped out to a 8-0 lead after scoring on a two yard run by Marques Long that capped a 16 play opening drive. By the time Vanderbilt touched the ball there was less than half of the opening quarter left.

Vanderbilt responded with a 45 yard field goal by kicker Brian Taylor after a nine play drive.

Early in the second quarter Arkansas kicker Joey Christodoulou connected on a 28 yard kick to make it 11-3. A 52 yard run by Javon Garcia on a jet sweep helped set up the score.

After a Vanderbilt punt the Razorbacks extended their lead once again when D’Eriq Robinette scored on a four yard touchdown run. Robinette ran three times on the drive for a total of 41 yards, including a 28 yard run three plays before the score.

The teams would exchange punts before Vanderbilt ran out of time on a drive before halftime.

Following a Vanderbilt punt to open the second half Robinette extended the lead to 25-3 with another four yard TD run.

Vanderbilt added another field goal on their next drive, making it 25-6 with just over a minute to play in the third quarter.

Arkansas punted then Lance Parker picked off a Childs pass. Each team punted again then Arkansas ran out the clock.

“Doesn’t matter how we win as long as we’re winning.” D’Eriq Robinette said when asked about the lack of passing. Robinette has thrown the ball 67 times in four games, less than 17 times per game. He’s run the ball 49 times.

Robinette led the team with 65 yards and a pair of scores on 16 carries. Marques Long picked up 40 yards on nine carries. Roger Smith recorded a pair of sacks while Cornelius Davies added 1.5. Caesar Whitaker and Derek Jones each had one and Brian Browne picked up .5.

Vanderbilt did sack Robinette four times in the game, something Davis says the coaching staff will be looking at very closely.
