The Cajuns recorded their third shutout of the season and held their opponent to 10 points or less for the fifth time.

Coach Davis' Take
These players are giving 110% on every play out there and it's really showing. This string of three games we've been able to put together defensively are incredible. I can't believe how much we've grown as a team since we first got together. Really turning out to be a special season for us!

DT JUSTIN HAMILTON UPENDS TROY QB DALLAS TIDWELL
The Trojans came into the game with a 3-3 record and provided more of a fight than the Cajuns may have been expecting.
A few key plays helped ULL come away with a 28-21 win.
Cornerback Jevante Watson made a huge play in the fourth quarter by intercepting a deep pass by Troy's Dallas Tidwell, who gave the ULL defense a bit of trouble while throwing for 257 yards and three scores.
Jalen Fields dropped Tidwell for a ten yard loss on the play before, forcing Troy to attempt the deep pass that was ultimately picked off.
Later in the fourth the Ragin' Cajuns defense stopped Troy on downs and allowed Terrence Broadway to kneel twice to end the game.

Coach Davis' Take
Certainly not our best work defensively but I saw a game where guys were tired and fighting every play and where the leaders stepped up and led and made plays and ultimately when the game was on the line our guys won it. Not a bad day at the office at all.
