Brady, Patriots close out Jets in second half to remain undefeated
If nothing else, the New York Jets can hang their hat and bang their chest on the fact that no one has played the New England Patriots tougher.

The Jets, for the second time this season, held the Patriots under forty points but it wasn't enough as the Patriots were able to come away with the 30-23 victory on Monday night.

The Jets took a 23-20 lead with 8:54 left in the game after Le'Veon Bell's 43-yard run. Bell rushed for 101 yards on just thirteen carries, averaging 7.7 yards per against the top-ranked run defense coming into the week. He also had four catches.

New England answered with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Julian Edelman to retake the lead on the ensuing drive. Sam Darnold was intercepted by Elandon Roberts, setting up a 31-yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski to make it 30-23 with 5:27 left in the game. Darnold then threw his third interception, this time to Jason McCourty.

Darnold's three interceptions over-shadowed his 355-yard performance in a head-to-head battle against MVP favorite Tom Brady. Brady threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns.

Are you going to play long enough for Brady to retire? If so do you think Stidham is his replacement?

Patriots showing interest in Jalen Ramsey following his trade request
DynastySports.com

As the Jaguars seem well on their way to another disappointing regular season, their best player has reportedly asked for a trade.

According to Adam Schefter, cornerback Jalen Ramsey asked the Jaguars to trade him one day after a clash with head coach Doug Marrone. The Jaguars are asking for at least one first round pick in any trade for the superstar corner.

Whether they want to make an offer to either team or another AFC contender swoops in to acquire one of them, big transactions have an impact on the best team in football no matter what. The Patriots had a hard time negotiating with the Steelers for Antonio Brown because Pittsburgh's ownership did not want to send a marquee player to their rival. While the Jags and Dolphins aren't contenders, neither team has much love for the Pats or have much reason to do business with them.

Another factor in acquiring Ramsey is his contract. Jared Goff, Carson Wentz and Ezekiel Elliott were three players drafted in front of Ramsey in the 2016 NFL Draft and have all received large extensions. Ramsey is in line for his own, and considering he's arguably the best corner in the game, he'll command a large figure.

Considering the Patriots are already paying Stephon Gilmore $13 million, that'd be a lot of money to commit to a secondary that has been exceptional this season already.

Nevertheless, New England has emerged as one of the potential landing spots for Ramsey as the trade deadline is now just a few weeks away. According to sources, there are 'mutual interests' between both Ramsey and New England to bring the talented cornerback to Massachusetts before the start of next season.
