Very nice analysis and an earned win for sure. Not a typically dominant Brady game but a win still counts.
will do these more if y'all like them.

Ground game for New England gets going as Brady, Patriots welcome Brees to division
Since the early 2000s, the only Hall of Fame worthy quarterback in the AFC East division has been Tom Brady, who has been running roughshod over the rest of the division and dominating.

On Sunday, Drew Brees introduced himself to the New England Patriots, throwing for 294 yards but falling short of Brady's three touchdowns in the 35-21 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Brees was able to get Buffalo on the board first as he completed his first ten passes but then the second quarter happened and New England took over, outscoring them 21-3 to enter the half with a 28-10 lead.

New England got it going behind a running game that has been stifled with injuries and poor offensive line play. Sony Michel rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown while D'Eriq King added 35 yards on the ground.

King also led the team with catches with nine catches for 65 yards and a score.

Dont'a Hightower made his season debut after missing the first three games with a shoulder injury. The defensive captain had 1.5 sack, sharing his second sack with teammate Jamie Collins who finished the game with eight tackles and an interception. Fellow linebacker Isaiah Simmons had ten tackles, 1.5 sack and three pass breakup.

"We have really good chemistry," said Simmons of his relationship with Collins and Hightower, "We feed off each other's energy and playing with Dont'a [Hightower] was great."

Patriots trade Claypool, re-sign White and promote Pettaway
ESPN.com

The New England Patriots have traded wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Green Bay Packers for a 2021 5th round pick. Claypool was a sixth round pick by the team just months ago and they were able to trade him for a fifth rounder as Green Bay was in need of receivers following the injury to Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

The trade came hours after the team extended running back James White with a three year, $21.6 million extension. White is currently sidelined with a broken wrist but was second on the team last season in both catches and rushing yards. The new deal keeps White in New England through 2023, ending all speculations that the play of rookie D'Eriq King might result in an early exit for White. King has 208 yards on the ground and 172 yards as a receiver.

Replacing Claypool on the roster is practice squad call-up, running back Martel Pettaway. Pettaway was part of roster cuts as New England brought the team down to 53-man before being placed on the practice squad.

Tua, Hill pair up to deliver historic loss to Belichick, Patriots
Rookie quarterbacks don't come into Gillette Stadium and beat the New England Patriots with Bill Belichick on the sidelines.

They just don't. Especially with their top three running backs out with an injury. They just don't.

Unless you're Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns, not to be outshined by fellow rookie Kylin Hill in Miami's stunning 44-38 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday.

The loss marked the first time that Belichick has ever lost to a rookie quarterback at home. Belichick’s teams have rolled through rookies throughout his time in New England. Overall, he’s gone 20-5 against rookie quarterbacks, including a perfect 13-0 at home.

That record and streak seemed to be on its way to continuation when New England took the 35-31 lead with 10:31 left in the game. The Patriots defense had settled down, holding Miami to just a 38-yard run touchdown in the third quarter after allowing 21 points in the second.

Tua responded with a touchdown to Devante Parker, targeting Jonathan Jones who had just came in for the injured J.C. Jackson. Both teams swapped field goals until Brady was intercepted on the first play of the last Patriots offensive possession when targeting Julian Edelman across the middle.

"I knew he was going to [Edelman]," said safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who the Patriots almost traded for last season, "When it gets tough, he looks for him and I knew that."

Rookie running back Kylin Hill, who was only playing due to injuries to D'Andre Swift, Kalen Ballage and Kenyan Drake, rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns.

While Tua was perfect, it was Tom Brady who was making the rookie mistakes with two interceptions on important drives that could have given New England a lead. Brady finished 26 of 33 for 339 yards and three touchdowns.

Scoring Summary

10:01 (MIA) B. Maher, 37 Yd FG

4:11 (MIA) D. Parker 47 Yd pass from T. Tagovailoa

Quarter 3
7:05 (NE) G. Calcaterra 1 Yd pass from T. Brady
4:41 (MIA) K. Hill, 38 Yd run
