@ToddMcShay
Fresno State CB Kendrick Meadows comes off the board at #6 to the Giants. Best man to man CB in the draft. Should pair nice with Trumaine Johnson outside. Baker in the slot. Solid group.

ROUND 1 PICK 7
JOSH DARDEN
CB | OHIO
6'1" | 207 | 21
Darden was the top CB on a number of draft boards, number one player overall on a few. Some experts questioned the competition in the MAC. Three year starter at Ohio and led the team in interceptions the past two seasons. Great zone defender. Excellent speed. Above average strength for the position. Good tackler. Never injured. Could be used as a returner as well. Should be the #2 or #3 CB immediately.

@ToddMcShay
Spoke with FSU QB Vaughan who dropped to NO at 27. Feels it is an ideal fit. Very excited to take over for Brees. No regrets about London situation. Knew Dallas wasn't moving up for him.

MONARCHS DRAFT SYRACUSE OT JA'QUAN LAMB
ROUND 2 PICK 7
JA'QUAN LAMB
OT | SYRACUSE
6'8" | 326 | 22
With their second pick in the second round the Monarchs took Ja'Quan Lamb from Syracuse. If you were to make a LT in a lab he would probably look a lot like Lamb. Huge, powerful blocker with a mean streak. Moves well for his size and can handle speed and power rushers. Has missed some time with injuries while at Syracuse.

With yet another second round pick the Monarchs chose defensive back Jason Irving from South Carolina. Irving played both safety positions, cornerback and some nickle linebacker for the Gamecocks. MONARCHS DRAFT VIRGINIA TECH OT ISAAC FREDERICK
ROUND 3 PICK 1
ISAAC FREDERICK
OT | VIRGINIA TECH
6'7" | 321 | 21
Another big, strong offensive tackle here for the Monarchs and they're hoping to have found the anchors to their offensive line for a long time. Frederick is a solid run blocker and was very good against both speed and power pass rushers. He will have to work on his agility to be able to keep up with the elite speed rushers he will face.
Pick Grade: A
