Between the duo of interceptions Porter scored on an electrifying 75 yard run that gave them a 7-3 lead. Less than two minutes later TJ Fulton scored on a 16 yard run to put the Bucs up 15-3.
Porter cleaned it up passing after the early picks and finished 12 of 19 for 218 yards and a pair of scores to go along with 117 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Trinity scored their only touchdown of the game against Blinn's second team defense. Fulton answered that score a few minutes later to make the final score 43-16.
Blinn will face their two biggest tests of the season with Northeastern Oklahoma and Navarro coming to town the next two weeks. Blinn will have to win both games to lock up a playoff spot and not need help getting in.

"HEROIC" PERFORMANCE LIFTS BLINN OVER NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA
October 11, 2015
WR RYAN TUTINS FIGHTS ACROSS THE GOALLINE FOR WHAT WOULD BE THE GAME WINNING TOUCHDOWN
Blinn needed a win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M yesterday to keep their playoff hopes alive. They did just that it what was a back and forth, high scoring shootout.
Both teams scored on their first two possessions of the game with TJ Fulton finding the endzone on 13 and 7 yards runs.
The second quarter was the same story with each team scoring a pair of touchdowns, Blinn's coming on a three yard run by QB Colby Porter Jr and a Porter pass to runningback Alonzo Taylor from 14 yards out.
With the game tied at 28-28 Blinn's first possession of the third quarter ended in a Porter interception, leading to Northeastern Oklahoma taking their first lead of the game on a field goal.
After punting then forcing NEO to punt Blinn took possession on their own one yard line. Receiver Ryan Tutins took the ball from Porter on a risky jet sweep and went 99 yards for the score, making it 35-31 Blinn. Tucker added a 50 yard field goal at the end of the third quarter and Blinn led 38-31 to start the fourth quarter.
The defenses battled for most of the fourth quarter before Northeastern put together a drive and tied it up at 38-38 with just over two minutes left to play.
Porter Jr. and the rest of the Blinn offense went to work. Porter found Tutins for a gain of 16 then scrambled for 7. Taylor took a draw for a gain of six and a first down at the Blinn 49 with a minute on the clock.
Porter took the shotgun snap and faced a strong pass rush. He rolled to his left and looked as if he may try to run but just before he crossed the line of scrimmage he threw downfield to tight end Derrick Rucker who had a step on the opposing linebacker. Rucker secured the pass and was dragged down at the NEO 19.
Fulton ran for no gain on first down then Porter kept on an option for a gain of ten and a first down at the nine yard line.
Porter found Tutins on a crossing route on the next play and the big receiver was able to power his way across the goal line.
Blinn's defense held and the Bucs secured the 45-38 win to improve their conference record to 5-1. Blinn needs a win against Navarro, the best team in the conference, next week to secure a playoff spot. They are 5-3 overall.
“That last drive was heroic wasn't it?” Blinn head coach Keith Thomas asked after the win. “Great stuff.”
Porter finished the game 10 of 17 for 189 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He ran for 139 yards and a score on 19 carries.
Alonzo Taylor, who was in and out of the game with cramps, ran 6 times for 44 yards and caught 5 passes for 86 yards and a score. TJ Fulton ran for a pair of touchdowns along with 35 yards on 7 carries.
Ryan Tutins caught 3 passes for 49 yards and the game winning touchdown along with his 99 yard touchdown run.
“Feels good to be in those spots and get it done, couldn't ask for a better group of guys around me.” Porter tweeted after the win.

Looks like Colby is ready for Div 1. Thinking of making the jump?

Colby's completion percentage is a bit low at the moment and we're trying to decide what's best for Colby right now. We've still got at least one game left in this season, hopefully more.Captain Canada wrote: ↑03 Oct 2019, 15:45Looks like Colby is ready for Div 1. Thinking of making the jump?
Thanks for the post! 100% of the site's Canadians are on board! (As far as I know.)

BLINN ENDS SEASON WITH CLOSE LOSS TO NAVARRO
October 18, 2015
QB COLBY PORTER JR RUNS FOR AN 87 YARD TOUCHDOWN IN THE FIRST QUARTER
Just like that Blinn's football season is over. Needing a win over undefeated Navarro to advance to the playoffs the Bucs faced an uphill battle when starting quarterback Colby Porter jr. was knocked out of the game in the first quarter.
Porter Jr. ran for an 87 yard touchdown on Blinn's first offensive play and threw a touchdown pass to runningback Scott James to cap the Bucs second possession before he was taken out of the game following a big hit on the sideline at the end of a run.
Porter was 6 of 8 for 53 yards and a score passing and had run twice for 98 yards and a touchdown when he exited the game.
Backup QB Bryan Martin struggled to fill in, completing just 4 of his 13 pass attempts and throwing a pair of interceptions, one of which Navarro scored on.
Navarro scored 28 unanswered points after Porter exited the game and Blinn did not find the endzone again until Alonzo Taylor scored on a 1 yard run with 9 seconds left in the game.
Details of Porter's injury were not reported but speculation is that he was in concussion protocol.
Porter, whose academic success makes him eligible to transfer to any NCAA school, has not yet announced his intentions for the 2016 season.
Taylor carried 12 times for 86 yards, Mark Allen led the team with 58 yards on 4 receptions. Defensive end Kevin Burns led the team with 12 tackles.
