Team Rankings

Injuries
None

Only three teams are top five in both scoring offense and scoring defense, two of them will clash in Jacksonville this week in what many are calling an AFC Championship Game preview.

With division titles in hands, the Chargers and Jaguars will be looking to earn the coveted wild card bye as well as the top seed. The path for both teams are clear: the Chargers just need to win one more game this season or have Miami or Jacksonville lose one of their next two games. For Jacksonville, they need to win out and have the Chargers lose next week as well.

With a win, the Jaguars star QB Tua Tagovailoa will re-insert himself into the national spotlight and MVP talks. The Jaguars have quietly won the AFC South and Tua has completed 73 percent of his passes, only to be outshined by fellow Floridian QB Dylan McCaffrey's 77% completion rate or the absurd numbers that Will Castonzo has been putting up.

Chargers Clinch Bye But Lose Star WR Metcalf
It was your classic tale of two halves and also the rare instance where the winning team might have lost in the long run.

The Los Angeles Chargers were able to avoid adding insult to injury, holding off the Jaguars late rally with back-to-back sacks, setting up the game clinching Odell Beckham touchdown in the 36-24 win.

In the third quarter, however, wide receiver D.K. Metcalf went down with a chest injury and did not return.

After starting the game 10/10 for 157 yards, Will Castonzo went 8 of 16 for 144 yards and two interceptions once Metcalf left the game. The trend is a worrisome one for the Chargers if Metcalf is unable to come back for their playoff run, which was the tone after the game.

"Whenever you lose someone this late into the season," Castonzo said of the somber ambience in the Chargers' locker room after the game, "You definitely feel it, it stings more than usual. We've had guys have to go out throughout the season but it's winning time now and D.K. [Metcalf] is such a big part of our identity that yeah, it's definitely taking a toll on us."

that play was a run too...audibled to this play action since we were outnumbered on that side. i wanted to go to the FB Eric Harper on this wheel route but felt it was too risky. Went with the "safe" flat option which was dk coming across and it ended up costing us a lot. smh.
