Y'all get to pick. I either do some in depth stories about the team and some of the fictional players or do a league-wide recap for each team with their head coach, last year record, acquisitions, etc...

Y'all got until 8am tomorrow EST to decide.

White and Culberson form unlikely alliance in middle of Huskies defense
Sebastian Barnes -- Dynasty Sports Staff Writer

Toronto Huskies linebackers Case White and Nate Culberson, selected number two and number four overall respectively in this spring's draft, couldn't be any more different and White will be the first to tell you.

"Nate [Culberson] is like clean cut, military family kind of guy, just a humble, country dude and I'm definitely not that."

The differences in Culberson and White were undoubtedly formed by their different paths to both becoming top picks in the NFL draft. Culberson was born on an Army base in Columbus, Georgia where both of his parents were stationed. Culberson and his family bounced around a bit before Culberson's athletic ability led him to be offered a scholarship to football powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida entering his sophomore season.

Culberson starred for the Ascenders as a junior and senior, becoming a consensus five-star recruit before committing to the University of South Carolina. Culberson's first two seasons in Columbia were uneventful as the Gamecocks coaching staff struggled to find a place for Culberson. They tried at him at defensive end where he dominated in high school but he struggled to put on and keep on weight to play in the trenches in the SEC, making his freshman season a wash.

At six-foot-four with quick twitch muscles, the South Carolina coaching staff remain entrenched that Culberson would develop into an elite pass rusher. He continued to struggle as a sophomore as an edge player before a defensive coaching staff change saw Culberson move from outside linebacker to inside linebacker.

He thrived, becoming just the third defensive player in history to win the Heisman Trophy after a junior campaign that saw South Carolina play in the SEC Championship Game as he recorded 104 tackles, eight sacks, seven interceptions, six forced fumble and three defensive touchdowns.

For White, the issue was never finding the right position. It was finding the right coaches and situation to fit him. A Southern California native, White was an under-sized linebacker at Oaks Christian, opting to walk-on at USC and turning down Group of Five offers from several in-state schools. White never played for the Trojans and his stint on USC's campus only lasted a summer semester following two altercations involving White and the coaching staff.

White transferred to San Diego State but when the coaching staff attempted to redshirt him, he found himself at his third college in as many months. This time, White found himself at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kansas.

"That was probably the toughest time for me," said White, "Just a few months ago, I was at SC and I'm like your prototypical 'Cali bro' so me and Dodge City did not get along."

Despite this, White found success at Dodge City and earned a preferred walk-on spot at Oregon to be, by the coaching staff's own admission, a roster body with hopes of perhaps developing the six-foot, 220 pound White into a special teams ace and a rotational player, at best, at safety. White would go on to start at middle linebacker for the Ducks for the next 54 games, ending as college football's all-time leader in tackles.

The versatility of Culberson and the toughness of White will serve as the cornerstone of the Huskies defense for years to come with both of them slated to start at Mike and Sam for a Toronto team eager to return to the Super Bowl and complete the job this time.

"If you're looking for Nate, just find Case," says linebacker Nolan Garrison, "They're always next to each other, Case doing the talking mostly."

Corners Donovan Bigby and Ashley Konrad had similar experiences as rookies back in 2021 when they were selected in the first and second round. Konrad was also a Heisman winner while Bigby had the more raw tools as he was faster and taller. They developed a bond that helped them get through a tough rookie season that had them part of one of the worst defenses in NFL history.

"That bond is important," says Konrad, "When things get tough, you need someone who you know can understand and feel that situation. As veterans, we try our best to relate to the young players but at the end of the day, they have to form their own unit and bond together. Stay on top of each other, police each other, support each other, you have to."

In depth stories about the fictional players on your team and literally just a list of QB and top players for the rest of the teams after the draft. Could do it in excel and post a screen shot.
