Will Castonzo returned to practice on Tuesday, setting the stage for a battle between two former first round picks at quarterback.

A nine-year vet, Giants' QB Daniel Jones is battle torn, starting from his draft day selection which led to criticism from media and fans alike. It took a few different play callers and head coaches but under Anthony Lynn, Jones has found his apparent prime, making back-to-back pro bowls in the last two seasons. This season, he posted yet another passer rating over 100 for the third straight year after reaching that mark just twice in his entire career.

For Lynn, it's a chance to win his first Super Bowl and do it against his former team the Chargers who fired him. For number two overall pick Saquon Barkley, it's a chance to show that the Giants made the right decision choosing a running back that high.

Castonzo Rushed to Hospital, Super Bowl Availability In Question
Los Angeles Chargers QB and NFL MVP Will Castonzo was rushed to a Glendale area hospital early Sunday morning as first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter putting his Super Bowl availability in jeopardy.

Castonzo suffered a chest injury in the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with reports calling it a fractured rib, causing Castonzo to have to take a six-hour bus drive from Los Angeles to Glendale because the team was concerned about the effect the air pressure could have on the quarterback's injured ribs.

Castonzo returned to practice on Tuesday and was listed as questionable in the subsequent injury reports, a promising sign that the recently awarded NFL MVP will be under center come Sunday night against the New York Giants.

According to a follow up report by NFL Network's Ian Rappaport, Castonzo is believed to have showed symptoms of a bruised lung late Saturday night following the team's final walk through practice.

The Chargers and Castonzo's representation have not commented on the situation with the Super Bowl set to kickoff just hours away.
