White and Ward to be sidelined for next few games with injuries
Cooper Byrd -- Dynasty Sports Staff Writer

The South Florida Bulls will utilize their bye week to try to get the team healthy as they head into conference play, starting with their battle against the SMU Mustanges.

The Bulls won't have the services of running back Leon Ward and receiver Zac White in that game and a few other games. Ward strained his back while White reportedly sprained his elbow in the team's win over Maryland. The plans are for White and Ward to return either against Syracuse or Houston later in the season.

White currently leads the team with thirteen receptions and two touchdowns and is second on the team with 168 yards on the year while Ward is second on the team in all rushing stats outside of touchdowns with 16 carries for 82 yards.

Stafon McCray has seen a bulk of the workload with 49 carries through three games, rushing for a conference leading 391 yards on 7.9 yards per carry.

Bulls to host a slew of recruits as limited space in cycle could lead to frenzy
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports USF Insider

It is almost October and the USF Bulls don't have a player committed to their 2017 recruiting class. Fret not, Bulls fans, this is by design.

There are currently only eight seniors on the Bulls roster, giving Malcolm Francois and the rest of the coaching spot just eight open spots on their roster and therefore an eight man recruiting class. The team might go over eight in preparation for a few transfers or early departures but nevertheless, Bulls fans should not expect a huge class like last season.

This limited amount of spaces has led USF to be able to focus on a small group of recruits and the vast majority of them will be on campus this week. The list consists of four-star QB David Johnson, four-star HB David Ross, four-star DT Ben Jennings, three-star CB Bradley Bentley, three-star LB John Jacobs, three-star OLB James Tucker, three-star CB Michael Bush, three-star DE Taylor Fletcher and three-star DT Chris Allen.

Should a few players commit over the weekend, this could lead to a few recruits -- particular the non blue chip ones -- wanting to commit early to lock up a spot in the class. This could work to the Bulls advantage as they would have locked up most of their class by November and then be able to focus on perhaps going after a few big time recruits.
