Bulls set to host star-filled recruiting weekend during Alabama week
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports USF Insider

When in Rome, you do as the Romans do. When you have one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the year, you invite a bunch of top prospects to fill the club section of your stadium.

USF will be host to eleven confirmed 2034 recruits two weekends from now when it hosts current No. 1 Alabama. The list includes two top corners in Chuck Jennings and Jeremy Daniels as well as five-star recruits HB Bobby Jackson, LB Josh Anderson, WRs Stephen Jenkins and Will Green. Four-star offensive lineman Dennis Woods and Eric Johnson have also confirmed to 247 Sports that they will be in attendance along with four-star safety Fred Harris, four-star defensive tackle Russ Bailey and three-star safety Alex Griffith.

The coaching staff is "extremely high" on Jennings and view him as the top player on the board and in the country. Jennings would be the team's highest signed corner since Jason Garcia, who was also the top ranked corner in his class and a five-star.

Jones suffer concussion in loss at Oxford as Fitzpatrick scores six touchdowns
After losing the starting quarterback spot to true freshman Jeff Jones and being relegated to the sidelines to watch the freshman set records, USF quarterback Thomas Jackson got his opportunity to make a name for himself, replacing the injured Jones and throwing a 33-yard touchdown on his first drive to give USF the lead at the half.

Jackson would get the chance to lead the Bulls to a comeback victory but would throw an interception that led to Doug Fitzpatrick's sixth touchdown of the day that clinched the Ole Miss Rebels 42-32 win over the Bulls.

Fitzpatrick's fifth touchdown gave Ole Miss a 35-24 lead with 6:38 left in the game after they had shut out the Jones-less Bulls offense in the third quarter, intercepting Jackson once already. Jackson would lead the team down the field, scoring on a one-yard touchdown pass to Robert Givens as well as converting the two-point attempt to make it a three point game.

USF's defense, who surrendered over 200 yards rushing in the first half and 338 yards rushing the entire game, was able to force a stop and give USF the ball with over two minutes left. USF crossed the 50 but Jackson's interception gave the Rebels the ball back. The defense stiffened once more, forcing a third down play where the entire stadium expected Ole Miss to run the ball. With that in mind, the Bulls sent a blitz only for Travis Barnett to complete a quick slant to Donny Jones who then broke Adam Kelly's attempt at a tackle and took it 82 yards before being tackled at the five-yard line.

Ole Miss chose to not run out the clock but instead punch in Fitzpatrick's sixth touchdown. USF head coach Malcolm Francois Sr. said he took no exception to that decision but did take the opportunity to throw a potential potshot at the Rebels program.

"Our job is to stop them from scoring and we failed to do that repeatedly. Congratulations to them, that was a big win for that program, probably their biggest in the last decade."

The Rebels haven't won the SEC since 2022 and haven't won a national championship since 1962.

Oof. Gashed. What kind of back is Fitzpatrick? Were they beating you inside or on the edges or just everything?

bruh i spent too much time listing the starters and their ratings EVERY game for you to ask me this lmfaoo

my front seven is doodoo and the game in general sucks against the run, it's very gimmicky where players don't take good run fits and just run into blocks or away from the ball carrier half the time which is hard with my house rules of no switching on defense.

Most of his big runs were to the outside where the LBs were getting picked off and their OL would somehow get to the secondary as well as knock my safeties on their ass, literally.
