Bulls class coming to a close as four-star Farris commits and USF gets their quarterback and kicker
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports USF Insider

Right before the start of the recruiting dead period where contact with recruits are limited, USF was able to land three commitments in the form of four-star athlete Derrick Farris and three-star kicker Ricky Turner and quarterback Eric Whitworth.

Farris is a 245 pound prospect that plays linebacker for his high school as well as running back although he projects to be a defensive linemen at the next level. He's drawn comparisons to Fred Hooper, who ended up at linebacker this past season after playing defensive end for the previous two seasons for the Bulls.

The biggest news of the week, however, was four-star QB Michael Harrell announcing that he won't be early enrolling and instead will declare his commitment on National Signing Day. The number two ranked quarterback in the country has a final two of USF and FIU.

Despite signing Whitworth, USF is still trying to land Harrell. Whitworth is viewed among those in the program as a 'developmental backup'.

The Georgia Trio ready to play final game as Bulls while Richardson will mull future amid tailbone injury
Anthony Washington -- The Tampa Bay Chronicles

A two-time All-American, a two-time Bednarik, Nagurski and Thorpe award winner, several all-conference selections, all the major receiving records and arguably the most explosive player in school history all came to USF in a single recruiting class back in 2016 all from the same state.

On Saturday, the Peach State trio of former five-stars Dan Johnson and Zac White along with four-star receiver Franklin Sapp will make their final appearance as South Florida Bulls. All three of them, albeit juniors, walked out with the rest of the Bulls seniors during Senior Night a few weeks ago. They then ended all speculations by announcing that they will forgo their senior seasons and prepare for the draft.

They also quickly thwarted any rumors of them potentially skipping the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl against #20 Iowa.

"We're going to be there," said White on an Instagram Live, "We're going to show out, show up and represent [USF] one more time."

A talented junior that hasn't decided his future is Butkus award winning linebacker Shelton Richardson. Richardson's junior campaign was cut short by a tailbone injury that caused him to miss the last few games of the season including the bowl game and is '50-50' on declaring according to those near him.
