Upset minded Florida State Seminoles pull out stunning victory over No. 4 USF
The South Florida Bulls haven't played their best football in the past eight quarters with them barely beating Minnesota and entering the fourth quarter tied with a losing football team and their Heisman winner having less than 100-yards rushing and their senior quarterback having thrown three interceptions.

Yet, they marched down the field down seven points with 1:21 left in the game, scored a touchdown and appeared ready to escape Tallahassee with a win over the Seminoles to keep their march to the BCS National Championship game once more.

Todd Woods' pass sailed over the head of tight end Chance Fisher on the failed two-point conversion as USF fell to Florida State 24-23 on Saturday afternoon, handing them their second loss of the season.

USF had made it a one-point game with four seconds left on a Roger Shaw Jr. touchdown and chose to go for the win instead of forcing overtime. With the entire stadium expecting Shaw to get the ball, USF ran a play fake to him as Fisher got behind the Seminoles defense in the endzone. Woods, however, was unable to find his six-foot-five target as the ball ended up in the back of the endzone.

FSU recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal the win.

Bulls lose a close on in overtime to Miami after turning to QB Jackson
It took just two drives for USF head coach Malcolm Francois Sr. to get redshirt freshman quarterback Thomas Jackson back in the game and it appeared enough to provide a spark to the Bulls offense and lead them to a gritty victory over the Miami Hurricanes in rainy Miami Gardens.

Gary Johnson and Jonathan Ashley had different plans.

Johnson forced overtime with back-to-back runs to score and convert the two point conversion with eight minutes left and Ashley finished it off in overtime with a fifteen-yard, walk-off touchdown run to beat the Bulls on Saturday in the fourth overtime period.

Both teams swapped field goals before Jackson, who replaced starter Todd Woods in the first quarter, was able to find Travis Lewis for a 25-yard touchdown on the first play of the second overtime period. Both quarterbacks rotated for the next two quarters with Woods completing five of six passes for 72 yards but once in the fourth quarter and beyond, it was Jackson who remained on the field.

"I thought the situation called for [Jackson]," said Francois Sr. after the game, citing his abilities as a runner. Jackson rushed for 54 yards in a game where Roger Shaw Jr. wasn't able to break off any long runs, averaging 4.7 yards per carry on 27 carries for 128 yards with two scores, including a potential game winner with 1:48 left in the game.

Miami was able to respond with another touchdown drive as Ashley found the endzone once more, his second of the day.

After another swapping of field goals, Miami was able to hold USF to a long 44-yard field goal, giving the Hurricanes the chance to win the game with a touchdown. On third and one, it was a toss play for Ashley that would prove to be the game ender.
