WINSTON, BRADY AND NEWTON ALL STAYING PUT

It turns out that the highly anticipated great QB exodus of 2020 was greatly exaggerated. Over that past few days Cam Newton, Tom Brady Jameis WInston and Andy Dalton all inked contract extensions with their current teams. Winston, who has thrown for 3,500 yards and 22 touchdowns against 7 interceptions, signed a 5 year extension worth up to 135 million.

Brady, who had played on "hometown discounts" for the Patriots in he past, held out for a big payday and was signed to a one year extension worth up to 33.7 million. Speculation around Brady's departure from New England was rampant, with pundits going as over the top as predicting Brady would replace Winston in Tampa Bay in 2020.

Cam Newton, who many expected to leave Carolina, is staying put after signing a three year deal worth up to a reported 72.5 million.

Andy Dalton, who many expected the Bengals would replace with their likely #1 pick in the 202 draft, stayed put with a one year deal worth over 18 million.

Social media reactions ranged from delight at players staying put to others saying they had hoped for a QB shuffle to refresh the league.
