Got the whole first season done and posted elsewhere but I used a fair amount of HTML. Any suggestions to get it over here?

PACIFIC TE BILLY FREEMAN SCORES THE FIRST TOUCHDOWN OF THE NEW ERA
PACIFIC KEEPS IT CLOSER THAN EXPECTED IN FIRST GAME BACK
Tigers picked off Carr twice, led at halftime

Fresno, California -
If we're being honest at all a win by Fresno State in the first game for Pacific football since November 18th, 1995 was not much of a surprise. What was surprising to many was how close the game ended up being.

"This game has been a long time coming for these guys." Head coach John Fassel said after the game. "We've all been waiting a long time to put this thing together in a real game. I'm proud of everyone that's been involved."

Pacific actually led the game by a score of 17-14 at halftime with their first two scores coming on a pair of Andrew McDonald touchdown passes. The first of which went to tight end Billy Freeman from two yards away from the endzone late in the first quarter. Freeman would prove to be McDonald's favorite target on the day, catching eight passes for 83 yards and the score. That score tied the game at 7-7 after Derek Carr had connected with DeVante Adams for a six yard touchdown on the Bulldogs first possession of the game.

Fresno State retook the lead early in the second quarter when a one yard touchdown run by Marteze Waller made it 14-7. Waller would finish the game with a pair of scores and 53 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Shortly after Fresno State retook the lead McDonald tied it back up at 14-14 with a 14 yard pass to receiver Braden Bishop. Bishop caught the ball at around the five yard line and spun his way into the endzone for the score.

On the tenth play of what looked like a promising drive for Fresno State Derek Carr was intercepted by Pacific linebacker Marc Millan. The takeaway would turn into points a few minutes later when Tigers kicker Kris Gudmundsson nailed a 30 yard field goal. Gudmundsson had missed from 47 yards out earlier in the game, he would finish two of three on the day.

Three plays into Fresno State's ensuing possession Carr was picked off again, this time by linebacker Joel Foy. Neither team added any points before the break.

Gudmundsson made his second field goal shortly after halftime, capping a 12 play drive by Pacific which was bolstered by a 23 yard run by backup quarterback Ty Francis Jr and a 13 yard McDonald pass to receiver Darrin Duncan.

Fresno State took the lead with 2:30 left in the third quarter via a four yard touchdown run by Waller that finished off a nine play drive that covered 75 yards.

After taking a sack on the final play of the third quarter McDonald connected with Freeman out to the Fresno State 46 but on fourth and long the Tigers punted.

Fresno State extended their lead minutes later when Carr and Waller connected for a 12 yard score on a screen pass. Carr's thirty yard rush was the key play of the drive for the Bulldogs. Carr, who had rushed for just 73 yards in the past three seasons, picked up 79 yards on the ground to go along with his 281 passing yards.

After a Pacific turnover on downs and a Fresno State punt the Tigers got the ball back but turned it over on downs deep in their own territory. Fresno State added a field goal and the clock ran out on Pacific, the final score Fresno State 31, Pacific 20.

Pacific put up 340 yards of total offense with 159 coming on the ground and 181 through the air. They passed the ball 33 times and ran it 38.

Defensively they gave up 418 yards total with 281 of it coming through the air.

Pacific did not turn the ball over and had a pair of takeaways which kept them in the game.

QB ANDREW MCDONALD LOST THE BALL AND WAS INJURED ON THIS PLAY

TURNOVERS TOO MUCH TO OVERCOME FOR TIGERS
Wildcats take it away seven times in big win

Tucson, Arizona -
Last Thursday night against Fresno Sate the Pacific Tigers didn't turn the ball over once and kept the game close in a 31-20 loss to the Bulldogs. Things were very different tonight in their loss at Arizona as Pacific (0-2) gave the ball away a back-breaking seven times in the loss.

Quarterback Andrew McDonald, who protected the ball quite well in their first game, on his first pass of the game McDonald was intercepted. One his second pass of the game and Pacific's fifth play of the game he was picked off again. On their third offensive play of the second quarter and their 18th overall McDonald scrambled, picked up a couple yards, was tripped up by a defender and stumbled forward for a few more yards before getting hit again and fumbling the ball. Arizona recovered. McDonald was injured on the play.

Despite the absolute disaster of a game for the offense to that point the score was only 7-0 Arizona at that point following a 42 yard touchdown run by Ka'Deem Carey on the first play of the second quarter. Arizona squandered their first quarter possessions by turning it over on downs twice and punting once.

Arizona turned their ensuing possession into seven more points via a five yard pass from Jesse Scroggins to Trey Griffey. Pacific punted following a pair of incompletions by Myles Carr, who had replaced the injured McDonald.

Scroggins made it 21-0 by connecting with Griffey for another touchdown. Each team punted and Carr threw an interception just before halftime to hold the score at 21-0 Arizona at the break.

Pacific finally got on the board when Carr connected with receiver Christian Tober for a four yard touchdown that capped a 12 play drive to open the second half. A 14 yard pass to Braden Bishop, an 11 yard run by Khalfani Muhammad, an 18 yard run by Rashad Hall and a 10 yard run by Carr were key on the drive.

Following an Arizona punt Pacific was able to put together a bit of a drive but it ended when they went for it on fourth down and basketball player turned wide receiver Marvin Cotton dropped what could have been a touchdown pass. Cotton redeemed himself a few minutes later when he caught a 17 yard touchdown pass from Carr. Tober caught a pair of passes for 40 yards on the drive and Hall's six yard run set up the touchdown play. Trailing by just a score Pacific found themselves once again sticking around in a game they were expected to get trampled in.

The fourth quarter assured a second loss for Pacific. Arizona scored on the second play of the fourth quarter when Scroggins connected with Wharton for a 23 yard score. After a 48 yard kick return by Stringer Fenton set the Tigers up in good field position QB Ty Francis Jr threw an interception. Arizona turned that into another score with Scroggins running it in from three yards out. Carr committed Pacific's sixth turnover a few plays later, losing the ball on a fumble. Pacific forced an Arizona punt but two plays later Carr threw a pick six.

"Seven turnovers is just not going to allow you to win a game. Period. Period." Head coach John Fassel said after the game. "It was a heck of a game by our defense really. They had a number of stops but the offense just kept turning it over so it's just not sustainable. It's not."

Arizona rolled up 408 total yards of offense with 243 of it through the air and 165 on the ground. Pacific only managed 84 yards on 29 rushes and completed 23 of 44 passes for 244 yards as a team. They threw five interceptions and lost a pair of fumbles.

The player of the game for Pacific may have been Stringer Fenton who racked up 247 yards on kick and punt returns. Christian Tober had a big game as well, catching seven passes for 122 yards and a score including a pair of great catches.
