January 14, 2020
After impressing so far in the campaign Cardiff City has sold Josh Murphy. The 24 year old Englishman is heading to Portugal to play for Vitoria Guimaraes for a fee of £4.55 mil. This leaves Cardiff with a big hole at LM with Junior Hoilett the only LM left in the squad. However, both LM had been injured recently and Cardiff put up good results without either in the squad due to a formation change.
‣ Cardiff Still Looking to Bring More Players In
Cardiff is rumored to be in negotiations with Stoke City for Welsh midfielder Joe Allen. The clubs are still in on-going negotiations but it could be a great signing for Cardiff if they can seal the deal as they look to buy more Welshmen for the squad.
In other transfer news Cardiff has had a bid failed for Derby County LM Tom Lawrence. Derby and Cardiff could not come to agreeable terms and it looks like Cardiff doesn't have the money that Derby is asking for.
‣ Junior Hoilett News
Junior Hoilett has returned to training following his sprained knee. However, it might be several games before he is ready for game action. In other news, Brazilian side Gremio has sent an offer for £2.8 mil for Hoilett. Cardiff quickly declined the offer as Hoilett is the only LM currently in the squad.
