Stories

The Cleveland Browns are looking like the team to beat this year. Their defense stopped the Bengals in their tracks this week, Derek Anderson is holding off Brady Quinn, and Jamal Lewis is an absolute truck.
With Grossman still out, the Bears will turn to Kyle Orton as their week three starter. Brian Griese, in two starts, has thrown four interceptions to one touchdown, completing only 57% of his passes.

Week 2 in Review
Image
September 18, 2007

DAVIE Fla. -- Cam Cameron addresses some key aspects of last week's close loss against the Cowboys and their next game against the division rival Jets.

On the inability to convert on third downs and score points
"It's tough right now, but we're not down on ourselves. We had numerous opportunities to put that game away but we couldn't stay on the field and put the ball in the endzone. It's on me as a play-caller and the players because they gotta execute. I feel confident for next week though."

On Ted Ginn's breakout game
"We're all really proud, and at the same time that's what we expected when we drafted him. On that score, he absolutely ran straight by his guy. What a speed demon."

On the defense giving up big plays
"The Romo big run was kind of a gaff, just a really bad broken play. We played the run pretty poorly but definitely stood up against the pass. I know Dom [Capers] will get the men set for this week, we're only improving."

On contract negotiations with Zach Thomas
"I'm not really part of that discussion, that's more between Randy [Mueller] and Zach. I know Zach is feeling out how long he wants his career to continue, but we gotta focus on winning games."

Keys to victory against the Jets
"This is a really good match-up for us and a key game. We gotta pull out divisional wins. Their defense is solid, led by Kerry Rhodes and [Jonathan] Vilma. We hopefully have the offensive jitters out because this will be a test. Defensively, I like our odds. If we can continue to force turnovers, we'll have a shot."

I'm watching these games CPU v CPU and this one was heartbreaking to watch. That third quarter was absolutely brutal with the back-to-back turnover touchdowns.

Tough when your offense loses the game by turning the ball over.
