September Week 4 | Dayton, OH
Show Opener Promo | Vince McMahon
RAW is WAR started with the general manager and CEO himself, Vince McMahon, coming out to the ring. He grabbed a microphone and addressed the WWE Universe, "RAW is WAR may not have a pay-per-view this weekend like Smackdown!'s Backlash. However, we're going to give you just as good of a show tonight. And how are we going to do that? Well every single singles title is going to be ON THE LINE, tonight. We've seen Big Show's antics with John Cena and Bobby Lashley the last few weeks. Well Show, now you get to defend your belt against BOTH of them in a triple threat match. Also, I think Chyna's shown more than enough over the last several weeks to prove she deserves a shot at Lita's belt, so those two will face off for the Women's Championship."
"Last but not least, since Goldberg became our inaugural champion, Hollywood Hulk Hogan has been gunning for that belt, including assaulting him last week in the locker room. Now a normal wrestling show would punish that kind of behaviour, but here on RAW is WAR, we CELEBERATE it. As a result, in tonight's main event, Hollywood Hulk Hogan will go one on one with Goldberg for the World Heavyweight Championship!"
The crowd roared with excitement at each announcement and Vince dropped the mic and swagger-walked his way backstage. Next, John Cena's music started playing, signifying the start of the first match of the night for the United States Championship.
Match #1: Triple Threat Normal | John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Big Show (c) | United States Championship
John Cena and Big Show had been working together in a weird way the past few weeks, and they continued that to start this matchup. They double-teamed Lashley and looked to take him out of the match early, but that didn't work. Lashley was eventually able to power through and knock down both of them, throw Cena out of the ring and start going to work on Big Show. Lashley showed surprising strength, able to lift the 500lb Big Show easily like very few other superstars have been able to do. After hitting Big Show with a massive stalling suplex, Lashley lined him up for and connected with the spear, but Cena came back in the ring before he could pin and threw Lashley out. Cena then went for the pin himself but the extra time allowed Big Show to recover and kick out at two. A shocked Cena was then face to face with a very angry Big Show who proceeded to beat the hell out of him, before delivering a chokeslam. This time Lashley would break up the pin, but not only did he do that, he hoisted Big Show in the air from the ground and delivered a massive Dominator and covered up Show for the three count.
Winner: Bobby Lashley by pinfall.
Match #2: One on One Normal | Chyna vs. Lita (c) | Women's Championship
This wasn't anything like the last title match. Chyna just refused to let Lita get any offense in. She took things to the outside immediately and started smacking Lita off the announce table, steel steps, ringposts and barricades, anything she could find to inflict maximum damage. When it reached a seven count she brought Lita back into the ring and Lita was able to slip away for a second and hit a DDT, but it only seemed to phase Chyna momentarily. She countered Lita's next move and then hit her with the Pedigree. Lita lay motionless and it would have been easy for Chyna to win at that point, but she stopped her own pin mid-count and picked Lita up for yet another Pedigree to hurt her even more. Then Chyna finally did pin Lita and there was no way for her to kick out as Chyna won and became the new Women's Champion. The belt seemingly wasn't enough for her though, as after receiving it, Chyna stomped out Lita, and when Lita finally did get to her feet, Chyna hit her square in the face with the belt leaving her bloodied and unconscious in the center of the ring.
Winner: Chyna by pinfall.
Main Event: One on One Normal | Hollywood Hulk Hogan w/ nWo vs. Goldberg (c) | World Heavyweight Championship
Goldberg came out strong, ready to defend his title against Hogan while also being wary of the Tag Team Champions Hall and Nash who were at ringside. He was controlling the matchup until things spilled to the outside. Hogan was then able to whip him into the steel steps and turn the match into more of a brawl, which favoured him. At least Hogan thought so, until Goldberg lifted him up, and was about to Jackhammer him through the announce tables. Before Goldberg could do that though, Scott Hall chop blocked him and then Hall picked up the pieces and powerbombed him. The referee immediately disqualified Hogan, meaning that Goldberg was the winner and would retain his title, but the nWo continued their assault on the champion. It appears there's a larger plan here for the nWo, because it's quite strange that Hogan would willingly throw away an opportunity to take the belt.
Winner: Goldberg by disqualification.
