Wolves Smash Transfer Record, Splash £77.6M for Inaki Williams

Image
Wolves have destroyed their previous transfer record, paying £77.6 million to trigger the release clause of Borussia Dortmund's star striker, Inaki Williams. The 26-year-old Spanish striker previously played at Athletic Bilbao in LaLiga, and possesses incredible physical traits with lightning quick pace, incredible strength and seemingly limitless leaping ability. The 6'1 striker is viewed as a more physically intimidating and more clinical version of Calvert-Lewin, who has been prolific, but also wasteful this season much like last year. Williams is viewed as the #9 who can carry Wolves forward, and it is a major statement of intent to go and grab one of the top players from another Champions League side in a move like this.

Williams will not be able to join the club until the transfer window re-opens in January, but when he does he will be expected to make an instant impact. He will also become the highest paid player at the club, earning just shy of £100K per week.

Nice string of wins. How big of an improvement will Williams be at his position over your current starter?

He's basically Calvert-Lewin but with really accurate shooting. Calvert-Lewin scores like crazy in my system, so this guy will just be even more deadly. Could see him scoring 50 in a full season if he stays healthy.
