Two Weeks Before UFC378.

Training camp is the most intense one yet & my rematch with Jon Jones is only two weeks away. I was beginning to call it an early night when a text message came in.

"Hey Tiny! Want to go for a ride tonight? I understand if you can't!"

Liberty & I have grown very close since I've moved to Los Angeles. We've spent many days & nights going on rides in her whip. We've continued to keep our friendship lowkey.

"I'm not doing shit. Come scoop me." I said as I started making moves to get ready to hangout with Liberty.

In the middle of our hangout she get's an invitation to a race so we head that way. I'm not going to stand in the way of her getting her money, despite it being a bit illegal.



"This is a sprint race to Mendoza Keys. If I win this, I'll win $1,500." She said.

I admired her confidence to risk it all.



& once again she won first place.

"You're seriously Vin Diesel behind the wheel! Or Jason Statham." I joked as she pulled into a gas station to meet Ana to collect the money.

She got out of the car & walked inside with Ana. After 5 minutes they made their way back outside.



That's when the cops decided to show up.

"We received reports of illegal street racing just a few blocks from here. Being as these two vehicles here fit the description, I'm going to need to see your I.D."



"Liberty Seydoux." The cop read.

"You wouldn't have happened to be the individuals racing illegally in my streets would you?"

"No." She uttered.

"That's funny. Because it was reported a matte black vehicle. The other officer is replaying tape as we speak to get a better view."

He walked over to me as I handed him my I.D.

"Augusto Jimenez. Wait a second.. Tiny Jimenez? Is that you?" He questioned.

"Yes, sir. That's me." I said.

"Well I wasn't expecting I would be running into any celebrities tonight." He said.

"But I'm a big fan. I know something like this wouldn't be good for you, heading into your fight in a couple of weeks. I'll let you guys go, but you better go now because they're looking."

I didn't expect that would happen.

"Take care, Tiny. & good luck against Jon Jones!" He said.

"Thank you." I said as I grabbed my I.D. & got back into Liberty's car.

We busted out laughing but were both nervous for what could unfold if he wanted to hold us longer & wait to prove if it was her vehicle or not.

She dropped me back off & we said goodbye. I told her I'll be zero dark thirty until my fight with Jon.

"It's TIME! 5 rounds, for the undisputed UFC light heavyweight championship of the world!"



"He is the REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED UFC light heavyweight champion of the world, TINY JIMENEZ!"



The fight started as an all-out war. Jimenez & Jones both showed they studied their opponents & trained very hard for this contest.



Much like their first bout, Jones capitalized on his strength & took the fight to the ground as much as he could.



But Tiny did the damn thing & got his hometown crowd hyped in the 3rd round with his signature middle finger taunt.



After the 4th round Tiny was clearly getting the better of Jones & was up on the judges scorecards.



But then something unexpected happened.



Jones grabbed Jimenez by the back of his head and sent a powerful knee strike to directly to his head.



A 13-fight win streak ended in one moment. Tiny was later diagnosed with a concussion after this blow to the head.



"& NEW UFC light heavyweight champion, JON BONES JONES!"

Recovering From The Loss To Jones.

The loss to Jon hurt. The second loss of my career. I felt like my train was rolling with strong momentum & last night was suddenly derailed.

An incoming text message came to my phone.

"Great performance last night! Tough result. I hope you feel yourself soon. Hit me up when you're back in LA!"

I wish I had just brought her to Newark along with the team. I could go for her peppy attitude in the midst of this gloom feeling.

"You bet. Looking forward to it." I replied.

I think I'll take a little extra time before taking my next fight. I know there's going to be a part three with Jon, but the real question is, when?

I hit my agent's line:

"Let's find some work ASAP."

"Already on it champ. Hitting up some studios who reached out during your previous UFC contract." He responded.

5 minutes later.

"Got us a gig. Rest up & meet me at my office when you're back in town."

The grind don't stop.

Attending Liberty's Race.



Liberty invited me to a race she was going to be in on the 4th of July. I haven't had a chance to witness her from the sidelines in a race before. Both times I was with her she was doing some illegal street racing.



She was so damn fast she was catching up to the person in 6th place while she was nearing the finish line.



It was cool witnessing her do her thing today. We kept it lowkey in front of everyone as usual & I congratulated her on her race. We left together after her race & I guess someone decided to "leak" the story to TMZ.

The film does extremely well with fans as Rooney Mara puts on an intense performance as the character Senji. The audience truly empathized with her character as she battled demons internally & literally. Tiny Jimenez's speaking parts as the talking rock are very limited as Mara dominates the screen time for 90 of the film's 98 minute runtime.

Watching Liberty Dominate The Wheel.



Liberty was going to be participating in another race & I had cleared my schedule to be in attendance.

"Wish me luck?" She said, as she gave me a kiss before getting in her car.

"Like you need it. Good luck." I said.

She smiled as she prepared for the race to start. 3 laps.

They started & she got out on an early lead.

She ended up making lightwork out of her opposition & dominated to a first place win.



The media was eating her up. $24k was her biggest pay day to date.

Later That Night.

"Can you believe this shit?" I said as I pointed to the TMZ tweet. I was laying on the bed beside Liberty.

"It's not like I care at all. It's just.. I never thought TMZ would be wrapped up in who I'm caught out with."

"It's definitely bizarre." She said as she rubbed my head.

"But at the same time you're a famous UFC fighter who acts in movies & I'm just some chick behind the wheel." She said.

"Meanwhile, I'm over here thinking about Mrs. Liberty Seydoux-Jimenez. Has a nice ring to it." I said to her as she nudged me. I knew how much it meant to her to preserve her own identity by keeping her own last name.

"I'm not mad at it." She said as I started to change the subject.

"I forgot to tell you. I signed a contract today. I'm getting another fight soon."

"Jon?"

"No. He's not interested in fighting right now & Dana's already stressed that he wants to see me win a couple before giving me another title shot."

As if my skills had slipped because I took a defeat against Jon Jones. Jon "Bones" Jones. The guy who's been dominating this league for as long as I can remember.

"I'll find out soon. Just wanted to prepare you that it'll be that time again for me where I'm super focused on training for a fight."

She sarcastically rolled her eyes & laughed.

"But I also wanted to mention that I want you to move in with me if you're interested."

She paused. I could tell I caught her off-guard.

"Let me think about it, but yes." She said as wrapped her arms around me.

"Then I won't have to go so long between seeing you during training camp."

I nodded, kissed her forehead, & cut the lights out as we ended the night together.

Luke Rockhold appeared ready for his first match against the knockout artist Tiny Jimenez.



Jimenez kept his distance against Rockhold early.



The veteran managed to sneak in a strong leg kick to the head of Jimenez.



But then Tiny kicked Rockhold off his feet.



Rockhold was setting up a jumping roundhouse, so the timing was perfect to knock him out of the air.
