Patriots dominate and score 52 points in blowout win over the Lions
The last time the New England Patriots wore their throwback red jersey on Thanksgiving was during a matchup against the Detroit Lions were they scored 42 points and Tom Brady had a perfect passer rating.

Mac Jones wasn't quite perfect, finishing the game with a 115.9 passer rating but New England dominated nonetheless, beating the Lions 52-7 on Thursday.

Jones threw for 355 yards and two touchdowns while Damien Harris scored three touchdowns while rushing for 192 yards. Rhamondre Stevenson added 41 yards on the ground as well which could have been more after his long touchdown run was called back.

New England's defense outscored the Detroit offense with two pick sixes from Jonathan Jones and Adrian Phillips. The returns totaled 107 yards which was more yards than the Lions had gained all day on the ground and just 25 yards fewer than Detroit's passing yardage total.

The only thing that kept New England from scoring sixty points besides a penalty that took Stevenson's touchdown off the board was their kicking with Quinn Nordin missing four field goals, three of which were within 29 yards.

Both Mac and Allen lead comeback efforts but Bills come out on top as Nordin misses kick
Quinn Nordin was among the league's best kicker through the first half of the season before a recent stretch of missed kicks had turned what was a pro bowl level season to an area of concern for the New England Patriots.

After Mac Jones had led the team 38 yards in 21 seconds, Nordin had a shot to exercise those demons and help New England sweep the Buffalo Bills but he missed wide left and the Bills disappointing season got a hint of sunshine with their 26-24 win over New England on Monday night.

Buffalo had led the entire game before Damien Harris' three-yard touchdown run gave the Patriots the 24-23 lead with 2:19 left in the game. Josh Allen found himself on 4th and 2 on the first drive of the ensuing possession from their own 27-yard line and went for it, connecting with Greg Dulcich for a 13-yard gain.

Buffalo would pick up nineteen, twenty-one and thirteen yards on their next three plays to get the ball on the New England goal-line with 58 seconds left in the game and a chance to bleed out the clock and just kick the field goal. Instead, Buffalo kept the tempo, resulting in Allen being a sacked before a completion to Dulcich would set up the 19-yard field goal to take the lead with 22 seconds left in the game.

After a five-yard gain on the first play from scrimmage which ate up New England's second timeout of the half, Jones was able to find Charleston Rambo for a 27-yard pick up near the sidelines. Jones went back to Hunter Henry for a fifteen-yard gain, setting up the 56-yard field goal attempt that would end up wide left.
