The Show: Uninterrupted Ft. Tiny Jimenez

While making his first appearance on HBO's The Shop: Uninterrupted, Tiny was asked by Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) on how he ended up in Portland.

--

"What I'd like to ask you Tiny is how did you end up in Portland after being the King of New York for so many years?" Glover asked.

"Yeah! I want to know that one too!" LeBron chimed in with a laugh. "After we won that championship together I thought, finally.. for sure.. New York has one that's here to stay."

"I wanted to stay but at the same time I was ready to move on? If that makes sense."

"I think I'm staying in Baltimore as long as they'll allow it." Lamar Jackson chuckled.

"Truthfully speaking, there was some orchestrating going on behind the scenes.."

"Always is." LeBron said.

"Right. So I won't say any names, but let's just say I wasn't supposed to go to Portland alone."

Everyone was silent waiting for the next bit of information.

"Without saying any names... A former teammate of mine, who was already in Portland at the time, called me up this summer with a master plan. He said 'yo Tiny. Me & such & such have been talking & we're thinking about forming a powerful trio here in Portland'.... & since I already knew that Julius [Randle] was interested in leaving the Knicks, it seemed like a great opportunity to get back into the title shot picture."

"A former teammate who played in Portland. That's easy. Who was the other player?" LeBron tried to pry while laughing under his breathe. "It's just so funny because I know. I've had all of those phone calls with players. We should do this. Team up here. Win a title. All that."

"So I'm all in on this Portland idea. I sign first. Breaking news, Tiny Jimenez has left the New York Knicks after winning a championship there & then it was crickets. I called my boy up & asked him like hey man you know I signed the contract. What's the wait? So he starts acting funny on the phone. 'Sorry Tiny but the big guy isn't going for it anymore. He's staying with his team & actually I'm torn between joining him or you'.... So I said You gotta be fucking with me.. I just signed a 4-year deal across the country & the plan I was sold on isn't going to happen!"

"Wow. That's tough. They played you... lowkey." Lamar Jackson said.

"Then I see the headline a couple of days later. Such & such resigns with the team first & then the orchestrator behind all of this signs with him as well."

"You've got a nice, really young team around you though in Portland. Paven is incredible. Treysi Royal. He's really exciting. I bet you two will draw a lot of Dame / CJ comparisons." Lebron said.

"I'm cool. I love it in Portland so far. It's not New York. But I love it there."

Hopefully that Hodges trade propels us into the playoffs.

Bro, tell me how the Clippers are "lowly" with that lineup? The defensive talent is insane... unless they are all just washed now :smh:

They’re 10-26 so  not sure why they suck so bad. Clippers have been ASS in here since season 1. We faced them in playoffs when I was in Phoenix but ever since then…

Lue is still head coach. Maybe they just need a change stylistically.
