Las Vegas Raiders sign offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste, veteran receiver Phillip Dorsett II to 53-man roster
With two open roster spots following the trade of Chandler Jones and Deandre Carter to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Las Vegas Raiders have signed offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste and receiver Philip Dorsett II to one-year, veteran minimum deals.

The Cajuste signing comes after news that starting right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor will be out this week with a torn labrum that he suffered against Green Bay. Eluemnuor, 28, started all seventeen games last season for the Raiders before signing with the team. The injury is likely to sideline the former Aggie for a few weeks with Thayer Munford Jr. or Justin Herron serving as his replacement and Cajuste being elevated into the backup role.

Cajuste has some familiarity with the Raiders offense having played under Josh McDaniels in New England in his first five seasons in the league as a reverse tackle, making two career starts at right tackle in 2021 where he was teammates with Herron and Eluemunor.

Dorsett is another former Patriot who spent the offseason and preseason with the Raiders before being released as part of the 53-man roster cuts.

‣ NFL 2023 Regular Season, Week 6 - Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada
(2-3) New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)

NE | 14 | 6 | 3 | 3 | 26
LV | 6 | 7 | 7 | 3 | 23

Mac Jones throws for 352 yards in win over Raiders as rookie Chad Ryland nails GW field goal
Three years into his career, New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones has often been criticized for his lack of key plays in winning moments, something his predecessor Tom Brady was the master off.

While an October win over a Las Vegas Raiders team won't set the world ablaze, Jones was able to answer his critics with a masterful performance in the fourth quarter, setting up rookie Chad Ryland's game winning 55-yard field goal to beat the Raiders 26-23.

Jones got off to a hot start with two touchdown passes in the first quarter, including a 79-yard bomb to Juju Smith-Schuster on a coverage bust. Las Vegas would get back into the game thanks to a catch and run touchdown by former New England Patriot Jakobi Meyers in the second quarter and in the third, they tied it up with Davante Adams' 62-yard touchdown on rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

The Patriots would retake the lead with a field goal late in the third quarter but it wouldn't last long as Daniel Carlson tied it up with 12:24 remaining. Jones would get New England's offense into Las Vegas' territory on the next drive but a holding penalty would force them to punt. After three straight punts between the teams, the Patriots capitalized on a roughing the passer penalty to get the ball on the Raiders 47-yard line. While they wouldn't pick up another first down, Ezekiel Elliott and Rhamondre Stevenson would combine for nine yards on two plays to get the ball to the 39-yard line, setting up Ryland's 56-yard field goal which had no problem hitting the net.

The Raiders put up a fight with completions of 4, 8 and 11 yards to get the ball on their own 47-yard line with a second remaining as they launched a failed Hail Mary towards Adams.

He actually was the starter and rated higher than Rhamondre but I changed that :curtain: by bumping Rhamondre's ratings. He got burned by Juju badly on that play, he was injured but I kept him on the field since it was a shoulder injury but for some reason it caused him to be a lot slower. he played okay after that but hard to rebound from a 70-yard TD PFF grade wise

...And Then There Was One
The Baltimore Ravens trip to London couldn't have gone worse, even after a great start that saw fans oversee witness a Lamar Jackson rushing touchdown early in the game. Jackson would leave the game with a lower leg injury a few players later and he didn't return as Tyler Huntley struggled against the Tennessee Titans, completing just 55 percent of his passes for just 120 yards in the 27-21 loss, handing Baltimore their first loss of the season.

It's not a serious injury according to head coach John Harbaugh and Jackson is expected to play against Detroit this week when the Ravens host the Lions. With the loss, however, the Los Angeles Chargers are now the only undefeated team left, buoyed by the great play of their offense led by quarterback Justin Herbert.

The Chargers undefeated season will be tested this week when they travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs. After losing back to back games to the Jets and the Vikings, Kansas City blew out the Broncos 52-14 on Thursday Night Football last week with Patrick Mahomes throwing for five touchdowns while Russell Wilson went just 12 of 21 for 87 yards and an interception.

‣ NFL 2023 Regular Season, Week 7 - Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois
(3-3) Las Vegas Raiders at Chicago Bears (3-3)

LV | 7 | 10 | 7 | 10 | 34
CHI | 0 | 17 | 7 | 7 | 31

Robbie Gould's game-tying FG blocked as time expired by Raiders' David Long
A first-team All-Big Ten selection at Michigan, David Long Jr. spent four seasons in Los Angeles after being picked in the third round by the Rams, signing with the Las Vegas Raiders this past off-season to be their nickel corner.

Long would lose that job in the preseason to rookie cornerback Jakorian Bennett and eventually found himself as the team's fifth corner behind Brandon Facyson as well. Instead of pouting, Long has been one of the Raiders key special teams guys and on Sunday, he made one of the biggest plays of his career, blocking Robbie Gould's game-tying field goal to beat the Chicago Bears 34-31 as time expired.

The former Wolverine timed the snap perfectly, outstretching his arms just in time to block the kick. The Raiders had just taken the lead on the previous drive thanks to a masterful performance from Jimmy Garoppolo, who had his best game as a Raider, throwing for 423 yards and three touchdowns.

With the game on the line and trailing by four points, Garoppolo found rookie receiver Tre Tucker for a thirty yard gain on the second play of the drive. On fourth and five from the Chicago six-yard line with 1:53 remaining, Garoppolo found another rookie, this time tight end Michael Mayer, for the five-yard pick up to place the ball exactly on the one-yard line after some tough running from Mayer. Zamir White would punch it in from one-yard out to hand Vegas the three point lead with 1:10 left.

Justin Fields and the Bears didn't go down without a fight, connecting with Darnell Mooney on a nine yard pickup on third and 1 and on 4th and 14 with the game on the line, Fields found Chase Claypool with ten seconds left for 25 yards to set up the attempt for Gould.
