Raiders fire defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, secondary coach Jason Simmons
The Las Vegas Raiders have parted ways with defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and defensive passing game coordinator/secondary coach Jason Simmons.

The decision comes after the Raiders 41-38 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs where Patrick Mahomes threw for a record 606 yards in the fourteen point comeback win in the fourth quarter. Deshaun Watson threw for 404 yards the previous week with Matt Corral throwing for 346 yards in the season opener and Bryce Young throwing for 369 yards.

The Raiders finished last in passing defense last season and are on pace to be even worse this season as they have allowed six hundred more passing yards than the next closest team. They are dead last in total defense as well as 31st in scoring defense with only the 0-4 Patriots allowing more points.

Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels added that senior defensive assistant Rob Ryan will take over play calling duties on defense with close collaboration with defensive backs coach Chris Ash and linebackers coach Antonio Pierce.

I'm not sure where tbh, qb accuracy is already low (15) and I was getting a bunch of sacks earlier in the chise so I've lowered the holding slider to help the CPU pass blocking and pass defense is already at 95

Jordan Love leads Green Bay Packers to surprising 4-0 start
The Green Bay Packers were one of the last teams to earn a win last season, winning just four games last season before Matt Lafleur and the rest of his staff were replaced in favor of Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.

The first year head coach has the Packers off to a 4-0 start, already matching last season's win total and has quarterback Jordan Love humming in a contract year.

Love wasn't a problem last season, completing 67 percent of his passes and throwing for 4,008 yards and 31 touchdowns. But he's improved even more this season, averaging more yards per game (251.8), a higher completion percentage (71%) and is on pace to throw 38 touchdowns to just four interceptions which would put him in the MVP conversation.

‣ NFL 2024 Regular Season, Week 5 - NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas
(2-2) Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans (1-3)

LV | 7 | 0 | 10 | 14 | 31
HOU | 21 | 6 | 0 | 7 | 34

C.J. Stroud leads GW drive to beat former college teammate Justin Fields and Raiders
in a battle between two former Ohio State quarterbacks, C.J. Stroud won the day by leading a 99-yard game winning drive in the final two minutes of the game to beat Justin Fields and the Las Vegas Raiders 34-31.

Fields and the Raiders had a chance to ice the game after rookie Curtis Jacobs' strip of Stroud with 4:57 remaining to place the ball on the Houston six-yard line and a chance to extend the lead beyond four points.

The Raiders would get the ball to goal line on fourth and goal and went for it with rookie receiver Tory Horton dropping the pass in the end zone which led to the impressive Houston game winning drive that included a fourth and four conversion, a 3rd and 10 conversion to Dalton Schultz for 24 yards and back-to-back completions of 21 and 19 yards to John Metchie III and Tank Dell to get the ball on the Raiders 10-yard line with sixteen seconds remaining.

On fourth and goal from the four-yard line, Stroud found a wide open McCallan Castles for the four-yard touchdown. According to Raiders linebacker Robert Spillane, this was due to a miscommunication on the defense when the Texans motioned into an empty set which left Tyree Wilson, on the backside of the play, responsible for covering the tight end.

The loss is an especially tough one for the Raiders as it's their third straight after a 2-0 start to the season. They found themselves in an early hole this game thanks to a 75-yard run by Dameon Piece and a pick-six in the first quarter that found them trailing 27-6 with Fields throwing a season high two interceptions.

He finished the game 19 of 31 for 183 yards with three touchdown passes.
