Philadelphia remains unbeaten with win over Caleb Williams, Washington Commanders
With the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos losing this past Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles remain the last unbeaten team in the NFL with an impressive 5-0 record that features a top five scoring offense and a top three scoring defense.
Philadelphia suffered a case of the Super Bowl blues last season, failing to make the playoffs and winning just seven games after winning the NFC Championship Game the previous year before falling short in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs.
Even with the loss of center Jason Kelce (retirement) and defensive coordinator Sean Desai who was hired by Denver to be their DC, the Eagles are in the midst of a bounce back season, led offensively by Jalen Hurts and D'Andre Swift who has scored four touchdowns in the last two games.
Defensively, Nakobe Dean has an expanded role in his third year in the NFL, leading the team with three interceptions while edge rusher Jared Verse has been a welcomed addition to an aging defensive line with two sacks.

Raiders WR Davante Adams expected to push for a trade
Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams is not only open to a trade to a playoff competitor as first reported in the offseason by Pro Football Network's Mike Florio, the star receiver will reportedly ask to be traded according to FOX's Jay Glazer.
Glazer reported that Adams met with Raiders owner Mark Davis several times last season and this summer to express his concerns with the team's outlook which reportedly led to the Raiders aggressive pursuit of Bears quarterback Justin Fields, trading three draft picks to land Fields. Adams has seen his role diminished in Josh McDaniels' offense this year, catching just one pass in the team's 34-31 loss to the Houston Texans which Adams publicly called 'embarassing'. Adams and McDaniels' relationship was described by Glazer as 'untenable' and says that barring a drastic change to the team and the offense, as well as their interpersonal relationship, he expects Adams to be traded by the deadline.
The star receiver is owed $88.2 million in the next two years with $25.4 million being guaranteed.
Rookie Joe Alt passes his first test at left tackle with flying colors
In his first career start at left tackle, Joe Alt was the Raiders highest graded offensive linemen according to Pro Football Focus, grading in at 80.1 for his fifth consecutive grade over 80.
Alt started in place of the injured Kolton Miller who suffered a knee sprain in practice and was ruled out for the game. Alt has graded out very well in his first career starts with three games graded over 95 and is currently the team's highest graded linemen behind only Miller.
The first round pick out of Notre Dame has yet to surrender a sack and has gone against several notable pass rushers in Josh Uche, Matthew Judon, Brian Burns, Myles Garrett and Will Anderson.
With Miller back into the starting lineup and off the injury report, Alt will slide back to right tackle and give the Raiders one of the best tackle combinations in the league.
Raiders to be without tight end Michael Mayer once again
Second year tight end Michael Mayer tore a muscle in his abdomen against Houston and is expected to miss close to a month according to head coach Josh McDaniels.
Mayer has already missed two games this season with a finger injury and has caught nine passes in the three games he's played in, finishing just two of them. He's fifth on the team in receptions after finishing second last year as a rookie and tight end Brevin Jordan has played more snaps and caught more passes so far this season due to the injuries.
Jordan is slated to have a heavy workload in the coming month as he played over seventy snaps in the two games that Mayer missed earlier in the season.

Raiders suffer another meltdown as Rams' Sam Darnold leads 21-point comeback win
An overjoyed and thrilled Los Angeles Rams team running up and down the field at Allegiant Stadium, unsure how they had just pulled it off.
A dejected and stunned Las Vegas Raiders team asking themselves the same question as the Rams rallied back from a 21-point deficit with fourteen minutes left in the game to score three touchdowns in nine minutes and beat the Raiders 37-34 in overtime to hand The Silver and Black their fourth straight loss.
Sam Darnold threw for 439 yards and two touchdowns after struggling for much of the first three quarters. The tide began to turn on the Rams first possession of the fourth quarter having just surrendered a third touchdown to Justin Fields and trailing 34-13. Darnold converted a 4th and 6 from their own 43-yard line with a completion to Isaiah McKenzie and then converted a 3rd and 11 with a sixteen yard reception by Cooper Kupp. McKenzie would convert another fourth down play, this time on fourth and four from the Raiders 26-yard line with a nine yard grab.
Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby would sack Darnold two plays later to make it 3rd and 23 and after a 12-yard gain to Jake Briningstool, Darnold would evade the pass rush and get the ball off just in time to find Kupp wide open in the endzone for the 18-yard touchdown.
The Raiders offense would go five and out, taking just a minute off the clock prior to punting the ball to the Rams who quickly got into the end zone thanks to gains of 27 and 21 yards by Kupp and K.J. Hamler -- who was released by the Raiders earlier this year -- before Darnold found Tyler Higbee for the two-yard score to make it a one score game with 3:11 remaining.
Fields would make his first major mistake of the game as he was hurried on a deep pass to Damien Harris that was intercepted by rookie Kalen King, placing the ball on the Rams 44-yard line with 1:46 remaining.
A 29-yard and a 16-yard completion to Higbee would get the Rams on the one-yard line where Darnold would rush it in for the touchdown. Sean McVay and the Rams offense initially elected to go for it but a pre-snap penalty would force them to kick the extra point to force overtime.
The Raiders went three-and-out in overtime prior to Darnold methodically going down the field and setting up Cade York's game winner. He finished the day with 439 passing yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers despite throwing the ball 69 times.

bruh, i moved to mostly man under the new defensive staff and we were COOKING in the first half. 2nd half, mcvay went to the outs and delayed wheel routes, had no answers for it
I'm also limited by my house rules (which is a good thing) so when it's just a bunch of dumbass zone blitzes and man to man defense on the first page of the suggested plays and now it's cooper kupp against a safety and I'm out of allowed audibles
Raiders fire head coach Josh McDaniels, general manager David Ziegler
The Las Vegas Raiders has fired head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager David Ziegler, owner Mark Davis announced in a statement.
"After much thought about what the Raiders need to move forward, I have decided to part ways with Josh and Dave," Davis' statement read. "I want to thank them both for their hard work and wish them and their families nothing but the best."
Las Vegas later named linebackers coach Antonio Pierce to the role of interim head coach. Pierce is in just his second year coaching at the NFL level, but he is a well-respected presence and former Pro Bowler, having played nine seasons at LB split between Washington and the New York Giants. He'll make his head coaching debut Sunday against the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs.
The Raiders also announced Champ Kelly, currently in his second season as the team's assistant GM, as interim general manager. Kelly previously spent time in personnel and scouting with the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Las Vegas is also firing offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi, who came aboard in 2022 upon the hiring of McDaniels. The Raiders are promoting QBs coach Bo Hardegree to OC, Rapoport reported, per a source.
