Cowboys acquire Pro Bowl WR Davante Adams from Raiders
The Dallas Cowboys have acquired WR Davante Adams via a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, the club announced on Tuesday. As part of the trade terms, Dallas will send the Raiders the team's first round selections in the 2025 and 2026 NFL Draft.

Adams joins the Cowboys after two full seasons with the Raiders, leading the team in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns in both years. Prior to that, Adams was with the Packers for eight years, helping Green Bay to six postseason appearances.

The trade is the first move by newly appointed Raiders interim general manager Champ Kelly, who is replacing the recently fired Dave Ziegler who was let go along with head coach Josh McDaniels following the team's 2-4 start which included four straight losses, three of which came in the way of fourth quarter collapses.

Adams had grown unhappy with his role in McDaniels' offense, averaging just 39 yards per game this season, the lowest of his career since his first year in the league. With the Raiders likely headed towards a rebuild, the organization and Adams decided to go their separate ways with Dallas' offense getting one of the league's best receivers.

Raiders to be without running back Laviska Shenault Jr. due to knee injury
In his first press conference since being named interim head coach, Antonio Pierce confirmed that running back Laviska Shenault Jr. suffered a knee injury in the Rams game that will sideline him for a few weeks.

"He'll be out for a while," Pierce told the media on Wednesday, "He's a big part of our offense and what we want to do moving forward as well but other guys will need to step up, find ways to contribute and replace that production."

The free agent signing leads the team in receptions (33) and is second in rushing with a career high 409 rushing yards after making the move from receiver to running back in Josh McDaniels' offense. With McDaniels' out, it remains to be seen how Shenault Jr. will be utilized in the offense once he returns.

The team is already shorthanded when it comes to offensive weapons with the trade of Davante Adams to the Dallas Cowboys. The roster spot was replaced by receiver Moose Muhammad III who was elevated from the team's practice squad. The team is also hopeful that rookie receiver Mario Williams will be cleared to return to practice soon after missing the first portion of the season with a collarbone injury he suffered in the preseason.

Raiders LB Divine Deablo traded to Denver
The Raiders traded away linebacker Divine Deablo to the Denver Broncos in an exchange for a fifth round pick.

Deablo led the team in tackles last season but has seen a diminished role this season with the emergence of rookie Curtis Jacobs who is not only a front runner for the Defensive Rookie of the Year, he's making a solid case for Defensive Player of the Year.

The Raiders elevated practice squad linebacker Amari Burney to the active roster.

New Raiders offensive coordinator wants to use Justin Fields' legs more
The Raiders offense hasn't been the problem with the team ranked first in scoring and rushing and 14th in passing offense but newly appointed offensive coordinator Bo Hardegree sees room for improvement in one specific area.

"We definitely want to use [Justin Fields] as a runner more," Hardegree told the media, "He's one of our best weapons on offense and whenever we're able to get him to the edge, make the defense have to make a play and account for his legs, it opens everything up."

Fields has just 21 carries on the season and is averaging a career low 26 yards per game compared to 76 during his 1,000-yard rushing season as a sophomore.

Surprised the O/U isn't closer to 60 with the way both defenses are playing.

I'm all for a Tre Tucker breakout season :curtain:

Just finished catching up. Really starting to see you overturn this lineup. Davante to Dallas makes me want to die.

it was the move that made the most sense since they are competitors and had the cap space, somehow
