The Idaho Vandals were in need of serious help. Their football program had taken a horrible turn for the worse. After a 6-7 campaign in 2010, they fell to 2-10 in 2011, then 1-11 in 2012. They needed a fresh start, so they brought in Bob Bobert. Bobert was the QB coach at WVU for the past two years. He was regarded as very inexperienced and not qualified for a head coaching job, so his hiring took many by surprise. But, after a rough start to his first year, he took the Vandals to a 7-5 record, including 2-2 vs. Power 5 opponents. As Vandals fans eagerly awaited to hear what bowl they would be in on Selection Sunday, they sadly did not hear the Vandals given a bowl. Furious Idaho fans were told that they were not selected because they are an Independent. Now, as a member of the Mountain West, the Vandals seek revenge in Year 2 of this dynasty.

Year Two: Electric Boogaloo
Idaho had an average recruiting class, getting plenty of depth players, but two players really stood out. 4* ATH Ben Reid will slide in at FS at an 80 overall, and Gerald Brant, a 3* OT, will start at RT as a 73 overall. The offense will become more pass heavy as Isaiah Saunders graduated.
