The Lakers took a 19-14 lead following a slam dunk by Austin Reaves. Pascal Siakam tied the game up 19-19 after hitting a midrange jumpshot. The Lakers ended the quarter on a 9-4 run giving them a 28-23 lead.

The Pacers defense was the story of the third quarter. D'Angleo Russell hit a jumpshot that gave the Lakers a 64-52 lead early in the quarter. LeBron James knocked down a three-pointer giving the Lakers a 70-61 lead, but the Pacers would go on to outscore the Lakers 14-4 the rest of the way and hold a one-point lead going into the fourth quarter, 75-74.

The Pacers had an answer for every Laker run in the fourth quarter. The Lakers took a two-point lead 80-78 on a jumpshot by Anthony Davis, but the Pacers responded and went up by ten, 96-86 on back-to-back three-pointers from Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith. Maxwell Lewis hit a three-pointer late in the game, cutting the Pacers lead down to two points, 100-98, but Tyrese Haliburton sealed the win hitting two free throws. The Pacers defeated the Lakers by the final score 102-98.
