Those season rankings are less impressive when they're only in the MWC.
Are you realigning the conferences?

Nevada fires offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen after offensive woes
Jeff Longo -- Nevada Sports Net College Football Writer
Nevada fired offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen on Friday after the Wolfpack's bottom ranked offense effectively cost the Wolfpack a chance to play for a conference championship.
Cornelsen was hired last year as part of Jerome Singleton's inaugural staff with the Wolfpack and was essentially given the "keys to the offense" as the head coach of the offense with middling success at best. Nevada finished dead last in passing offense by a wide margin but did have the best rushing offense in the country. However, Nevada averaged only 18.3 points per game, the lowest average for any team in the country with a winning record.
During the Wolfpack's three-game skid in the month of November, which ended their conference championship hopes, Nevada's offense scored seventeen points in back to back games against New Mexico and Colorado State. The Wolfpack's defense held Ohio State and LSU to twenty one points but scored only seventeen points in those two games combined.
In a statement, Singleton said, "In a continuous effort to always improve all aspects of our program, I have decided to make a change on offense. We will move forward and make decisions that provide our players, staff and program the best opportunity to win and develop at the highest level."

i just didn't feel like doing the math of the entire country
I don't think so @ realigning the conference. Nevada wasn't part of the move to the Pac-12 and I'm not tryna be in a five-man conference
although i guess i could just schedule a tougher OOC games anyway to balance it out hmmmm

If you do the announced alignments, the MWC has 8 members on the game brudda. You lose 5 and gain 2.

Nevada head coach Jerome Singleton discusses offensive coordinator search, UCLA opening at Idaho Bowl Press Conference
Jeff Longo -- Nevada Sports Net College Football Writer
Nevada head coach Jerome Singleton met with the media Saturday ahead of Monday's Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against South Alabama.
Singleton spoke on his first season with the Wolfpack, calling it a building piece and that winning the bowl game, and their eight game of the season, would be another building block towards their future.
"Any season you end with nearly as many losses as wins is hard to call a success," said Singleton when asked if his first year was a success, "It was a building piece, you know, we were able to come in and keep the standard from the previous year and now we're looking to add yet another building block for our future with a bowl win, winning eight games, improving from last year."
The Jaguars briefly employed Singleton as their defensive coordinator for two seasons for his first college defensive coordinator job. A few of South Alabama's players, including Alex Bitonio, were recruited by Singleton to Mobile. Bitonio has been a key player for the Jaguars for the past two seasons with eight pass breakups and three interceptions.
"It's a few guys over there that I recruited in Alex [Bitonio], [starting cornerbacks] Ryan Wimbley and [Zach] Azur so its been cool to catch up with them. You try to be respectful whenever you leave a job," said Singleton, who many accused of tampering with former South Alabama linebacker Coco Generals, who followed Singleton to Wisconsin a year later, "But you build great relationships with those guys as you're getting to know them. I don't like that 'recruiting' word that much anymore, it's really relationship rebuilding and seeing if you guys are a fit for each other and throughout that process, you really get know them and come to really appreciate the type of kids that they are and its a rewarding feeling when a few years later, they turn into great man."
The Wolfpack will be without an offensive coordinator as they head into the bowl game following the firing of Brad Cornelsen. Singleton has yet to name a play caller for the bowl game but has began interviewing candidates, including another former Alabama staffer in Josh Zimmerman.
Zimmerman was most recently the offensive coordinator at Georgia Southern and prior to that, he was on staff at Alabama as an offensive analyst back when Singleton was also an assistant staffer with the Tide. The Eagles' offense didn't exactly soar this past season, averaging 19.5 points per game for a team that finished with three wins but Zimmerman's offensive identity running a pro-style offense and his previous relationship with Singleton has him as the early favorite.
It's important to note that while Singleton himself is carrying out interviews, he himself is not expected to interview for the UCLA job. Singleton was rumored as a potential candidate, having played for the Bruins and being from Los Angeles but the first-year head coach denied reports that he was ever asked for an interview.
"That's just not true," Singleton said of his interest in the UCLA job, "They never called, I never asked and I don't want or need them to call. I'm happy in Reno."
Singleton added that he has not interviewed, formally or informally, for any head coaching jobs and that he does not anticipating doing so after the bowl game.
