Yellow Jackets are embarrassed following a 70-14 shellacking by USF
After consecutive down-to-the-wire finishes, USF fans could enjoy their Saturday night by the time the second quarter had rolled around.

Boosted by their running game, the Bulls ran all over the Yellow Jackets on Saturday night to beat Georgia Tech 70-14 in a game that was never competitive.

USF quarterback Rashad Woodard opened the game with a 76-yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage and led two more scoring drives before leaving the game following a fourth down pickup. Woodard entered the concussion protocol according to USF head coach Malcolm Francois Sr. who described the diagnosis as 'positive news'.

"We're confident he'll be ready for next week," Francois Sr. said after the game, "He'll travel back with the team tonight, get some tests done at some point tomorrow and we'll go from there. The nature of this game, didn't make any sense to push for a return."

USF rushed for 373 yards on the ground compared to just 37 rushing yards for Georgia Tech as former USF running back Dominique Shelton's game against his former teammates was non-eventful, rushing for 52 yards on nine yards in a game that was out of hand by the end of the first quarter.

Chris Price replaced Woodard and after throwing an early interception, he connected with receiver Scott Price -- no relation -- for three second half touchdowns.

Man was so devastated by the loss to GT yesterday he had to take out the anger on them in a video game.

Tigers make a game of it on Senior Night, push Bulls to the fourth quarter
USF strolled into Tiger Stadium with the intention of blowing away a one-win LSU team on Senior Night with a chance to finish with the top seed in the College Football Playoff Rankings when the final rankings come out in a few weeks.

Instead, they found themselves in a dog fight and needing a last-minute stand by their defense to beat the Tigers 31-24 on Saturday and move a step closer to avenging last year's embarassing playoff performance.

LSU outscored USF 21-14 in the second half, using a fourth-down stand and a end-of-half interception to keep it a two possession game at halftime with the Bulls leading 17-3.

Rashad Woodard would find the end zone to open the third quarter to extend it to a twenty-one point lead but the LSU offense started to find its stride with Adam Hale hooking up with Brian Everett for the 46-yard score to jump start the Tigers offense and the crowd that slowly got into the game.

Hale's second touchdown of the night would make it a seven point game with 1:04 remaining but the Tigers failed to recover the onside kick and the Bulls rushing offense was able to close it out with 226 yards rushing on the night and three touchdowns.

- The top four teams from the Champions Division will be awarded an automatic bid into the College Football Playoffs. The remaining four spots are voted upon by the committee and can contain non ANAC members
- Once the teams are selected, the committee votes on the seeding as well
- ANAC members that are selected for the playoffs are automatically promoted or retain their place within the Champions Division for next season
- The bottom team in the Champions Division is automatically relegated and the top team in the Contenders Division is automatically promoted
- The remaining non-playoff teams in the Champions Division will compete in a play-in bowl with top seeded, non-playoff Contenders Division members for the right to play in the Champions Division the next season
- Bottom eight finishers in the Contenders Division are relegated and replaced with the top eight finishers in the Rising Division
